My friend I went out for Sunday lunch. Best roast out for many years. All meat veg really well cooked , roast potatoes were exceptionally good. Staff friendly, polite and helpful

Best Halloween ever! The restaurant's huge garden and marquee were incredibly creative. The food and entertainment for our family were superb. Overall, it was totally excellent. Well done, it's a great place.

Again this restaurant hits the right spot! Service always with a smile. Food nicely presented, a side order of peas no trouble my Salmon did not have any accompanying vegetables. Seating outside we 'll get more umbrellas out if there are no tables in the shade of the trees! View menu

We were driving through the area and decided to stop off for Sunday lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Food was great (one roast beef, one vegetarian roast), plentiful and good value. Excellent nut roast full of good things and less heavy than most. Had both wanted a dessert but were too full. Staff were good. Would love to return.

Table booked in advance for lunch on 03/09/23 but suffered an hour and 3/4 wait for food. Our Grand daughter left in tears with her Dad 20 minutes before the food eventually arrived due to boredom and hunger. After waiting for over an hour we enquired why the wait, only to be told the garden service was busy and ours would be 10 minutes (surely pre-booked restaurant tables take priorty over walk-in garden ones). Half an hour later our remaining 3 roasts appeared with over cooked meat and under cooked potaotos, which were sent back. Needless to say, after 2 hours no Sunday lunch. Thank God for The Henty.

What a disappointment. We have eaten at the Fox on several previous occasions and always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Today was a complete letdown. After waiting over an hour our main courses arrived Sunday lunches and kids’ meals. Two of our group had roast beef it was barely edible tough and chewy; two had roast pork which they said was ok but no crackling!!!! The two nut roasts were rated best. Each plate had roast potatoes, which were satisfactory and a Yorkshire pudding which was over cooked eand too crunchy!
