Really good food, special atmosphere where the owner reads the menu and answers any and all questions. We had a large party of about 23 people and all were extremely happy with dinner. First time visit and will go back. Food was lovely and extremely filling. Felt very welcomed and as others have said, they are passionate about their food and with good reason. Another fantastic visit. Haven’t been here for two years since lockdown Phil and the staff as always very warm and friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a takeaway dish in a warm plate and we’ll definitely be back soon. 5 stars for the amazing food. We booked this for our 25th anniversary. Due to the lack of acknowledgement and not so attentive service I can only give 3 stars. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to serve ourselves, the table was next to the kitchen door and the main walkway to lots of tables. Menus are difficult to read and although they are read out to you we resorted to the internet to get a better look of the food. I had the venison gnocchi with a white wine sauce which was delicious. My husband had the steak and said it was good. Special occasion for us, but spoilt by the atmosphere.
