I love that it doesn't taste like it's vegetarian. If I hadn't known, I'd think it's real meat. The portions are really big and the price of the food is quite cheap! Great place The garden is lovely in summer.

Lovely pub with beautiful back garden and very good food. Vegan options are really good (I had the burger which was fantastic! Service was very nice and provided plenty of sauces e.t.c. overall a very recommendable place if you are vegan or vegetarian or not wanting to eat meat.

What a find this pub was! The food was delicious and the pub garden was a nice surprise on a very hot day. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient, even in the heat. I will definitely visit again to try more of the tasty looking dishes and a walk near Port Meadow. Very recommended for vegetarians, vegans, but also, like me, carnivores.

This is more than just a vegetarian pub. While you may be drawn in by the novelty, it's the delicious menu and fantastic selection of beers that will keep you coming back for more. I recently tried their vegetarian mushroom cake and I still can't get over how incredible it was. And the seasonal vegetables served on the side were truly exceptional.

As a typical meat-eater, I left the Gardener Arms completely satisfied. The food was delicious, with a good amount of slightly spicy and very tasty dishes. The service was quick and friendly, and the menu had a lot of options to choose from. I would definitely recommend this charming little pub. And to top it off, a nice pint or two of Oxford Blue.

Much deserved appreciation for being a completely vegetarian/ mostly vegan resto-pub in Oxford. We were 3 friends and ordered 3 vegan main dishes. But 2 dishes would have been enough. Loved the platter kebab bowl was regular (no risk). Those big chillies in the platter are not spicy at all. Mexican chilli was very spicy, i had it with rice the next day. Being a vegan and foodie, no food was wasted from our plate, including the flat bread salad. i would definitely go here again in future.

Nice place. We went for dinner. Got to sit in the comfortable back room. Service was excellent and so was the food. Big portions. Drinks were good as well. Well worth going again. Highly recommended. I always like cheerful, chatty wait staff so they always get a better rating from me. One thing to keep in mind the wait staff here only gets the tip if you give it in cash, so carry some cash if you are the tipping kind, I am, but I know there is not a big tipping culture in UK. Loved the food. Excellent for vegetarians and vegans. Definitely revisiting. Have revisited many times now. And everything is really good. Really every single item has its own excellence. The staff are extremely friendly and they have quiz nights and got to know that head chef is the quiz master. The chef is really multi talented. Amazing atmosphere and much more amazing people. Mini little retro style pub. Loved the cheesy fries. Quite busy. Only issue is extremely small bathroom. Otherwise worthy revisits. Sunday is a quiz night and the best night. Great little pub like restaurant serving vegan and vegetarian fare. Service is at the table and you 'll eventually be assigned one by a waiter as you enter. Decor is inline with a pub aesthetic: dark wooden interior along with a feeling of an English living room as books sit in corners on shelves to tempt you while you wait for your order. Food is decent and vegan items are clearly labelled on the menu. The 'spicy chicken ' kebab bowl is filling and varied enough to satiate a hungry diner. They do a tasty alcohol free cider too which is hidden under the 'Beers ' category on the menu.
