Lovely Sunday lunch in a lovely Cotswold pub with great service and ambiance. Had the roast beef and all the trimmings. Congratulations to the chef.

Lovely service, and food to match! Try the scallops with black pudding! Lovely dish! Even had a lil kick about with the landlords son; who has some skills too! Many thanks!

Stumbled across The George by chance 3 weeks ago had the best roast dinner we've ever had. Returned today it was just as delicious. Really friendly service, amazing food such a lovely atmosphere. It's quickly becoming one of our favourites.

Absolutely brilliant every component cooked in a 5 star manner. This is the best roast dinner eating out we have had in a very long time in fact i avoid eating roast dinners out because we are alwaysdisappointed but not this way. Well done. View menu

The best mealI have had in a long, long time. My wife and I popped out to have a quick bite, as we're camping for RIAT, and ended up having three courses because the food was so good. I was n the Royal Navy as chef caterer for 22 years, leaving as a Senior Rate, and the steak I had tonight is the best steak I have ever eaten.

We came for lunch, having eaten here before. The food was quite highly priced and my husband's fish chip portion seemed quite small. The sourdough baguettes were good but the mozzarella ingredients were very small. We couldn't eat in the garden as before and despite sitting at a table right outside the main door (we had a dog), we had to pay for everything as we ordered eg drinks then food etc. When I ordered the food from the bar I was instructed to collect my cutlery, sauces etc on my way out, I was tempted to ask if I'd be cooking my own lunch too! Won't be back

Best Sunday Roast around. We used to visit this pub before Covid as it did a superb Sunday lunch. Nicely cooked with plenty vegetables. Booked a few weeks ago, only to find it had changed hands. Having heard good reviews we went anyway and so glad we did. We didn't think this place could get any better, but it has. We revisited again today and it really is amazing. Great choice of food, beautifully cooked, amazing roast potatoes, and very well served by lovely staff. Reasonably priced too. We didn't think it could have got any better, but it has. Well worth a visit. Well done. View menu
