You always get a good meal here at a reasonable price. All homemade very good portion sizes. Good variety of dishes. Staff are always friendly. Lovely garden when the weather is nice enough to sit out. Yes some people may say it’s a bit old fashioned inside but I think it’s cosy and welcoming.

I haven't been to this restaurant in a while, but my visit today reminded me that it's a hidden gem. The food was delicious, served hot, and the service was excellent. The views were beautiful and the atmosphere was peaceful. I dined with colleagues who also agreed that we must come back, especially for the great fish on the menu. I highly recommend this place.

We had Sunday lunch at this restaurant and the food was absolutely fantastic. It was the best meal we've had in a long time. The beef and pork were juicy and delicious, and the vegetables were all fresh. The desserts were also very tasty and came in generous portions. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient, making it a very enjoyable dining experience.

Stayed here after a long journey from Somerset to visit Cambridge. Great location situated between A14 and the park and ride. Quiet and relaxing hotel with fields at back , comfortable and clean room away from the pub. Had an excellent evening meal, breakfast also really good. Service excellent and hosts and staff really nice people. Hopefully can stay again one day.

We phoned to try and book a last minute table for 8 people for my husband's 80th birthday after being let down by a nearby pub and they came up trumps with only 40 minutes notice and saved the day. The food was really good and the staff were so helpful. There is ample parking here and it's a great location. I would definitely recommend this pub and we hope to come back fairly soon.

Very underwhelming and disappointing. The roast lamb was served with cauliflower cheese and the vegetables consisted of parsnips and one sliver of carrot. Southern fried chicken and potato wedges were inedible. Wedges were burnt and the whole meal looked as if it had been reheated from a previous occasion . A heavily tattooed waitress came out of the kitchen serving food whilst chewing . Just hope it wasn’t something from our plate. Will not be returning.

Four of us were staying here for business. On arrival sarah was the most welcoming host ever. We were made to feel as if we are very special which we certainly are not! The hotel is different to the usual sterile places we stay and that was very refreshing. Good food good beers and apart from a little tiredness in decor etc. everything was great. Music was a really good mix and a big shout out for the garden as it is beautiful and had a lovely discussion with Sarah about the plants and trees. Great knowledge Sarah.

I met a friend for lunch and we both ordered roast lamb. Hers came with a pot of cauliflower cheese and a Yorkshire pudding. There was no supplement for these for my GF meal which was very small. I had few over-cooked vegetables, 4 roast potatoes and 3 small slices of meat. That was £15.50. I did complain and was given a 12% discount and a coffee. The only GF dessert options were ice cream or sorbet. As it was below freezing outside I didn't want those so all in all it was a disappointing meal. However the owner was friendly and tried to address the issues and did give me a discount.

This charming inn located in a small village offers separate accommodation in an annex. Don't let the address on the 'high street' deter you, as the rooms are situated at the back of the hotel, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The spacious rooms feature incredibly comfy beds, tea/coffee making facilities, an AC unit for heating and cooling, and beautiful bathrooms stocked with complimentary toiletries. It's advisable to make a reservation for the restaurant in advance, as it tends to fill up quickly.
