The Grange Coffee Shop And Garden Centre

We had a lovely visit and bought quite a few items. Well tended plants and not expensive. Check opening times as I found it was closing at 3pm the day I visited.

First visit today, fab food, lovely staff, great prices. Will certainly be back. Friendly atmosphere in cafe, very clean, comfortable and inviting. Also dog friendly, bonus.

Excellent, great value, lunch. Sandwich (well filled decent side salad), drink cake (home made, decent sized serving) all for £6.00! Good service. Not very big, just 16 seats indoors but more outside, in decent weather.

Visited the cafe today with my Mum. Friendly obliging staff, who spared the time to chat, and went the extra mile. Delicious clotted cream scones with tea. We will be back for lunch sometimes. Thankyou for making it such a lovely experience. X

Visited today with a friend for the first time and was delighted with tasty sandwiches, cake and very pleasant staff A most comfortable cafe and outside area and the choice of plants at very reasonable prices was amazing Will most definitely be returning

First rate cafe, with very reasonable prices for excellent food. The service was very friendly and entertaining and all in all the experience was very, very good. I would certainly recommend the Askham Grange Garden Centre, cafe and coffee bar to anyone and everyone. It’s definitely worth a drive out to give it a try.

A friend told me about this little café and garden centre so I visited it on Sunday with an elderly friend. There was a good choice on the menu and the prices were very reasonable. We had delicious mushroom soup and then bought some chocolate cake and a huge cheese scone to take away ... both were very tasty. The place was clean tidy and the staff were welcoming. We will certainly go again. Afterwards we looked at the garden centre and, inevitably, came away with several plants. It was a lovely surprise to find such a pleasant place so close to home. I can't wait to sample more of their menu on our next visit.

Had lunch with granddaughters in tow (4 6) and staff could not have been more accommodating or attentive in providing child friendly meals. I had a Brie bacon toasted sandwich which was to die for, full of Brie and well cooked quality bacon. Daughter had a baked potato which was a good size, topped with a generous portion of cheese and accompanied by a tasty salad. Husband enjoyed a bacon and egg sandwich on fresh white bloomer bread, claiming one of the best he’s had! Staff incredibly friendly and obliging with the standard of food exceptional. Its also so reasonably priced what more could you ask for. Excellent experience.

We discovered this amazing coffee shop last year and it's become one of our favourite places to call for breakfast or lunch. The food is beautiful from lovely sandwiches filled to bursting and served with a fresh side salad to the home made cakes which I believe are made by the ladies themselves. The garden centre is so well stocked and in summer the ladies sell the veg that's grown there,although you have to be qick to get it as it's so popular. The staff are amazing, so polite and helpful and always have a chopped up sausage ready for any one who brings their dog with them.
