Beautiful Sunday lunch. Very attentive service. Staff very polite. Will definitely go again and try the rest of the menu

I had a lovely Sunday lunch with my family at this restaurant in Dartmouth. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.

Dartmouth is a lovely place to visit and was a pleasure visiting the Royal castle. The hotel and bar has such character to it and the staff are lovely and friendly. Has a very good choice of food and drink and defiantly recommend to others who visit Dartmouth. View menu

The hotel room was nice with a view of the river. However the bathroom was dated and some of the communal areas were also bit tired. The two bars were good with a very contemporary menu and some decent live music. Breakfast was also very good in a dining room with a view of the harbour and river.

Another visit to the Royal Castle, always a pleasure. We had sunday roast dinner in the bar which was good, but let down by not being as hot as it should have been. Staff did ask about our meal after we had eaten it and we told them this. We accept we should have spoken up about our meal earlier, and knowing the usual customer service here, we are sure it would have been sorted.

We dined twice. As a couple and as a group after xmas. Food was good, as always, though desserts were cold, especially the STP. Staffing though was dismall and sparse. Took forever to be seated and our waitress was curt aloof and hard to get any service. Table menus were filthy on arrival and service was slow and non existent. A complete change to our last visit in October.. Not great View menu
