"My experience inquiring about having my wedding reception at this restaurant was disappointing. I was initially sent menu options and available dates, which was great. However, when I asked if there was somewhere for me to get ready, I was informed that they only host wedding "parties" in the evening and not wedding receptions. This came as a surprise to me when I was told that I couldn't wear my wedding dress and neither could my bridesmaids, as it would essentially be a full-blown wedding. Despite being recommended this place for our reception after our wedding in Cyprus, all I encountered was rude customer service and was told we could only have a party and not a wedding reception. I suggest that the restaurant clearly communicates to potential clients that they are signing up for a party and not a wedding reception, and that they are not allowed to wear wedding attire. It would be appreciated if this information was conveyed in a more polite manner. Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience."

All staff were very professional and attentive. We needed to make a change and nothing was to much trouble. Party menu was good and service was hyper efficient. Great night! Thanks

The menu choice is good, courteous staff although we did find the service a little slow at times, however we were in no rush so it did not matter!. The food was good and the atmosphere very nice. Would definitely go back

We had a good meal at this restaurant shortly after the Covid-19 restrictions were relaxed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, there seemed to be a lack of training on Covid safety measures as all the windows on the first floor were sealed shut with no ventilation. I had to ask for them to be opened slightly to allow for fresh air, but the waiter was hesitant due to the rain. It's important to prioritize safety over comfort, especially considering the spread of Covid. View menu

My wife and I were feeling a bit thirsty after walking a few miles to explore High Rocks, so we decided to stop at a restaurant nearby. However, we were disappointed to find that the prices were significantly overpriced, with bottles of water costing £2.50 each and pints of fizzy drink costing £5 each. It felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that there were not many other options around for food and drinks. If you are planning to visit this area, I would recommend bringing your own supplies or going back to Tunbridge to find a better deal.

We recently held a surprise 40th and 80th birthday party for my husband and his mum at High Rocks. Everyone had a great time, and commented about what a beautiful place it is. We were well looked after, and nothing was too much trouble. We opted for the hot food buffet, which was really nice, and was enjoyed so much that people went up for seconds! The shuttle minibus at the end of the evening is also a great service. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you to everyone who helped with the planning, and looked after us on the evening.

Everything we expected from this restaurant. Very well prepared with good social distancing between tables and all staff very careful around customers. Our last visit was in February 2020 pre the COVID 19 epidemic. As usual the ambience was excellent with good music from the pianist. The food was great, well presented and delivered by staff wearing face masks. We were nervous before the visit, but all the staff were so helpful and it felt so safe we shall be going again soon.We came home feeling much more positive.Thank you to all the staff at the restaurant. On the outskirts of Royal Tunbridge Wells you will find the High Rocks so named because of the cliff like climbing which is available there. Just opposite is the High Rocks Restaurant which has been in existence for some 30 years. Starting off as a modest affair it was substantially enlarged and today offers the discerning customer an excellent meal both for lunchtime and dinner. The menu offers a very good selection of food and wines. You get a good and friendly welcome. My wife and I have visited this restaurant many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Very strongly recommended.

My husband I came for a meal and a wander around the rocks yesterday as a belated anniversary because of lockdown and it was simply amazing! The staff are so kind and welcoming and helped to really make the experience feel so special they went over and above so that I was smiling from ear to ear for hours! As always the rocks were spectacular (we spent 1 1/2 hours exploring and the food was exquisite (you have to try the goats cheese tart it was perfection . They even helped us to find our car keys in the dark as I hadn't realised that I'd dropped them when exploring the rocks and they did it without any fuss. This really is a special place if you haven't been, you need to go and if you're t...

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"
