A very lovely pub with a great friendly vibe. The new owner has completely turned the place around and the food was delicious. The staff were also very friendly and there were lots of good vegan options.

Agree with the previous reviewer that they’ve given up. Atmosphere was lacking, smell of strong body odour coming from behind the bar, no bar snacks on offer (not even crisps or nuts) and then they charged me £30 for a bottle of Prosecco. High end prices for a low end experience.

Walked here whilst staying at the local Mercure Hotel. Great find. The pub wasn’t overly busy but it was Good Friday. What made the pub was the manager or landlord? George. George engaged with every customer and knew his drinks. He was observant and despite being on his own ensured all was as it should be. Would definitely visit again

Had a great time here on a thursday night lovely efficient service from a smiley server and the food was really good. Our group had fish cakes with creamed leeks, fish and chips (excellent light batter and perfectly cooked fish), sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. Pub filled up later and felt nice and sociable. My first time will definitely return.

The side dishes were served significantly earlier than our main meals, requiring us to request for them to be reheated. They were finally brought back to us halfway through our lunch. The server who attended to us was quite helpful. However, another staff member began clearing empty glasses from the table without checking if we were done with them. The food was decent but could have been warmer.

the jolly postboys have experienced a considerable change, as I for the first time darkened the torweg 14 years ago. there is a feeling of pride behind the bar of chaps that provide year for more. covid has proven to be a problem, but this is not a discreditation for the team. They have worked hard to deliver the best experience for florenz park. I'm proud to be a native. Keep it on josh, you're making her proud.

This place is nothing like a traditional pub. When we visited on a Friday night at 6:30pm, it was filled with more children than adults. There were babies and toddlers everywhere, with no child appearing to be older than 10. They were running around and squealing, creating a chaotic atmosphere reminiscent of a children's indoor play area. This is not the kind of environment you would expect in a pub. We will definitely not be returning.

I recently tried the Sunday Roast dinner at this restaurant and was quite disappointed. The meal was bland and lacked flavor. My partner ordered the roast beef, but only received two thinly sliced pieces of overcooked beef, far from what was shown in the advertisement. Although the portion of vegetables was generous, at £16 per meal, I would have expected more meat. I chose the chicken, which was good, but the vegetables were also lacking in flavor. The cheese sauce on the cauliflower seemed to be from a packet and was watery. The swede was bland, but the red cabbage was tasty. The roast potatoes were good, but the gravy was flavorless. This was a recommendation from our nearby AirBnb, and about the only place within walking distance. We were 7 adults (1 elderly , and booked for 7pm. We arrived about 5-10 mins before, to find no table prepared. Not a major problem, and we were in fact able to chose a quieter area (kiddies corner! . The staff were very friendly and helpful, no fault there. The food was very good, we were all very pleased with our meals, although we did feel they were overpriced. There were no desserts , which was a very big disappointment.
