"This is easily, for me, the BEST place to eat in lowestoft. Ok it's not that hard as there are very few options these days but I have never been disappointed when eating at this place. Booking a table in the restaurant is your best option however decent pub grub is available if your unable to book. There are daily specials up on the board which are always worth a punt and the kitchen are flexible, constructing whatever you like ad long as they have the ingredients. The service has always been top notch very polite, accommodating and friendly. The food itself is obviously cooked with care, compassion and love and it shines through starting with the quality of the ingredients, moving into the perfect way ot is cooked and the brilliant flavours it produces when eaten. It is one of the more pricier restaurants in lowestoft but again that's being compared to wetherspoons, spring tide and Hatfield eateries to name a few. I would choose this place to eat over any of those or others I have failed to mention. I enjoyed all the food I have eaten at this place and always left feeling satisfied, pleased and definitely wanting to return. I hope they carry on providing the service and products I have become used to in my short stay so far in this town."

Lovely local pub overlooking the beautiful Pakefield beach in lowestoft! Very busy at lunchtime and particularly the outdoor tables that overlook the beach. Great selection of food including some nice vegan/vegetarian options. Fast service with friendly and pleasant staff offering a decent selection of beers wines and spirits including some very nice local brews! Recommend View menu

In the early evening, we walked to the beach and decided to grab a bite to eat while enjoying the coastal view. To our delight, we secured a table with a stunning sea view. The large windows beautifully framed the beach and coastline. The food was not only delicious but also well-presented. This cozy local pub offers fantastic views of the coast, serves local beers, and features home-cooked meals.

"The duck at the pub was excellent. My partner really enjoyed his burger, and my smoked squid was so delicious that I could have eaten it twice! The portions of cauliflower and blase could have been larger, but I appreciated that they didn't add any unnecessary extras. Our dessert was beautiful, although it was unfortunate that they had run out of chocolate ice cream. The service was outstanding—charming and polite. I was thrilled to find a place open on New Year's Day, especially since many restaurants in Norwich were closed. We'll definitely be back soon!"

After placing our drink orders, we opted to sit in the spacious seating area at the front to enjoy the gorgeous coastal views and soak up the sun. The pub is dog-friendly, providing plenty of fresh water bowls for pets. Although we didn’t dine there, many patrons were enjoying meals that looked generous and smelled wonderful. One minor observation was the layout of the restrooms; upon entering, the door opened directly onto a wall, which made for a bit of a tight squeeze for some guests. However, overall, the establishment was pleasant, clean, and staffed by friendly individuals, all complemented by a fantastic view. It seemed to be quite popular, and yes, we would definitely return!
