"Excellent with some wow! This is a review of the dinner we had at The Kings Head. The best meal out I’ve had in years. Great service in an attractive environment; really good food; good value. I had the tofu starter followed by hake and mussels as the main. The fish was very well cooked, about perfect I’d say, with great flavours and texture, as were the mussels. The crumble pudding was delicious and deserves a ‘wow’ rating, along with the treacle and Guinness bread we had before the starters. My wife really enjoyed her meal too. I don’t often get this excited about a meal this was a great dinner. Many thanks to Patrick for his kind attention."

Dropped in for lunch after a wet 15km hike on the downs. Arrived 15 mins before service ended but were treated wonderfully. Had excellent chicken schnitzel.

We had a great meal at this restaurant, with a lovely ambiance that was perfect for our date night. The fillet steak and pork belly dishes were absolutely superb!

We stayed overnight during our North Downs Way walk. The room was very comfortable, albeit a bit small. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were both friendly and professional.

Lovely stay in newly refurbished pub. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Wye is a great base for walks and day trips (Canterbury, Whitstable). We wish the new team well. View menu

Having Googled top 50 country pubs in Kent on Kent Online. We decided to head to this one. The staff were welcoming and the food was exceptional. We’d put it in the top 10 of the 50. As we’re local and have been to half of them.

This pub in the picturesque village of Wye is simply fantastic. We had an amazing dinner for two at the restaurant a few weeks ago and enjoyed a lovely family pizza night in the relaxed courtyard tonight. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you to Nick and the team!

Hotel review: Sweet room, a bit tight, but clean and tidy. Lovely vibe to the place and nice position. Really handy for the Chunnel (20 minutes’ drive) given how expensive and terrible the closer hotels are. Fabulous breakfast! They take dogs which is a bonus. Really nice staff. Would recommend! Lovely pub located along the high street. Google maps always helpful to find it in the dark. Lots of spacious areas to Have a drink with friends, you can have a seat down with friends or have a quick drink without meals involved. The service was relatively smooth and quick. Prices not on the cheap side but you get what you pay for.

"Our excitement to see this café open allowed us an opportunity for some needed refreshment . Oh a cup of tea and a slice of cake or a little available small snack was what we needed . We were told by an employee sit down we come to you , so we did .. Another staff member standing behind the counter looked over and frumpy look called the cook who had the same frumpy look and went back to cooking , We : waited , waited , waited , waited and saw the frumpy counter woman still in the same spot , we waited and waited then left , maybe she was glued to the floor . We looked left and saw a pub named the Pheasant, oh drink and food , renewed enthusiasm and excitement we entered to staff who couldn 't do enough, so professional and warrants praise and a revisit , after a while we left and waited outside for our taxi , looking over we saw the cafe closed , ahhhhh it all came together and understanding that we was an inconvenience to the café as they was closing in half an hour after our visit , How long would it have taken to make a cup of tea for two? , us drink it , then how long would it have taken them to wash up the cups ? , they still would have twenty minutes for the woman to be unglued, our first impressions were of a cafe with many seats and a welcoming atmosphere, the woman employee sitting at the front table working was professional and welcoming the tables were clean and we kept our excitement as we waited , our excitement and enthusiasm faded, we left happily for the woman glued to the floor , we are appreciating the effort of the lady at the table who was seriously let down by the others , thank you for your efforts , apart from her professional customer service skills our Eureka moment to see the café open wasn 't to last , sorry to the staff member at the table I 'm very sure the service we had wouldn 't have been what you would have given , this review seems strong in tone but it 's our experience in here that day.. . I am not now able to show enthusiasm for another visit , I would have loved having that day and opportunity to empty my wallet a little and a little bit more on what would have been another visit , sorry no Eureka moment taken away that day."
