The food, staff, and atmosphere at this restaurant were excellent from beginning to end. They have a great selection of wine and the desserts are amazing. I highly recommend this place.

The restaurant is stunning with attentive, friendly, and welcoming staff. I was initially nervous about dining solo, but I was greeted with warmth. We were on our holiday, and always go out for a meal on our last night. We found this place a few days before on a walk, and booked it. All we can say is what a wonderful experience it was all round! Excellent food, great service, lovely interior and good value. We both had 3 courses, 2 glasses of wine, 1 beer, and 2 coffees for £89.

OMG. Been here a few times and it's wonderful. Not a big menu in week but a very tasty one. I had a mac n cheese starter and it was incredible and so different. My wife had a celeriac soup and that was also so nice. The restaurant is good at soups, I've had a few and they are all good. Decided on a cheeseburger which was lovely as was my wife's salmon. Had to share a sweet but what a place, gets better everytime

We booked our babys first birthday party upstairs for 35 people. All was very last minute and I couldn’t fault the service and food from Elizabeth and her team. All the staff were extremely attentive, the food was absolutely beautiful we had the Spanish chicken and beef bourguignon. Was impressed the quality with the food for such a large group. Despite good reviews on here we were both disappointed with our experience in the Lime Tree restaurant. Pros: Excellent daycore. Good service. Good food menu selection. Good food presentation. Cons: Despite the good quality of Lamb for my main course there simply wasn't enough to eat especially given the price of £19 price. £10 for a glass of house of average quality was in my opinion to much money. Conclusion. We both left still hungry despite paying £60 bill for one course each one glass of wine. Sadly unlikely to return.

I recently had a birthday meal with my grown-up son at this restaurant. The food was absolutely superb. We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone was extremely impressed. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was impeccable. The desserts were a standout, perfectly balanced and delicious. From the Sticky Toffee Pudding to the Chocolate Tart with salted caramel ice cream to the generously sized Apple and Rhubarb Crumble with homemade custard, everything was divine. We chose the Lime Tree for our family get together this year after previous recommendations. Elizabeth and her staff did not let us down. We booked out the upstairs space for our party of 13 adults and 5 children. It was perfect space for the children to play and a great area for dining. With the added bonus of a bar. The majority of our party had the slow cooked beef and two of us had sea bass. The food was served promptly and was delicious, as evidenced by the empty plates.
