"This venue is off the chart. We booked a table for 12 for a Sunday cavery. The staff are extremely welcoming and catered for us to an exceptional standard. The food was by far the best we have had and the chef was absolutely wonderful with our younger family members. She even went the extra mile with our daughter that is a very fussy eater. This venue is a definite must visit. Massive thank you from the Maltby family. We will be back soon."

I would say that we had just the most tasty roasted we had ever lived in ours and we had a few! meat cooked to perfection, amazing bratkartoffels and gravy for dying! I wish we had lived a little closer!

the food was excellent, well cooked and a good selection of sweets to go with the choice of roasts. they were so busy that they literally advised themselves, which meant that there was a constant supply of freshly cooked food. I'll be back soon.

Lady that served us was very nice really friendly..We only had jacket poatoes very nice ..The bar area looks like someone's messy front room...We only live 20 mins away so thought would try it here as the reviews were very good ..maybe not my sort of place ..but the jacket poatoes were nice

Classic family-run pub with a great atmosphere and menu, including Sunday carvery. Always made to feel at home, regulars are always welcoming, with a fire in the winter and large beer garden in the summer. Plenty of room for kids to run around outside, and dog friendly in the bar! The perfect pub.

this quirky pub is open all day and one has to eat and drink while visiting the village pidley. had ham egg and chips on Monday and the ham was extremely tasty. had beef madras today (Wednesday) and again was very delicious. has chocolate orange cake and custard for pudding on both days and can honestly say it is highly recommended

We went for the advertised Friday pizza/fish and chips, but this wasn't available so we chose from the usual menu. The food was quite nice, but it felt like we were eating in someone's front room. The decor is tired and tatty and there's personal clutter everywhere. This could be such a nice pub if it was given a tidy-up. And lose the dated grubby tablecloths and place mats!

"Re opened, refurbished and back with a bang! A classic thatched country pub which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to more than its former glory, with new owners and new management. It now features a wonderful and sizeable pub garden with stunning views over the Cambridgeshire countryside with the quaint addition of Highland Cows who seem to enjoy watching the customers! Having been for drinks and food now on a couple of occasions, the menu is sophisticated, tasty with plenty of variety. If you're enjoying a drink in the garden, for nibbles, I highly recommend the cheese fritters they compliment a cool glass of Prosecco perfectly. There is an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails on offer. Inside the pub, it's all olde world charm but with a modern twist and as much I love the warm weather, I almost can't wait to see a roaring fire in the two fireplaces! The staff are friendly and welcoming it's the sort of pub I'd be happy to go into on my own for a light lunch or just a drink. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch which I've heard good things about already from those who have been! Considering it's a whole new team of people, the service understandably was a little bit slow as they were learning the ropes. However, on my last visit, I was impressed by how much slicker it was they're obviously fast learners. Can't wait to go back and support this quality pub/restaurant."
