"Normally I like this for a nice Sunday lunch but today was definitely not to my liking. We had booked a table but then once we were sat, we had to wait an age before anyone came to attend to us. She took our drinks order and then asked us what we would like to eat. The food arrived long before the drinks appeared despite someone behind the bar who seemed to be doing nothing, or that's how it appeared to us. When the food was brought, the waitress seemed oblivious to the roast potatoes dropping off the plate and landing on the floor. The drinks eventually arrived after about 20 minutes. It then took a long long time before the table was cleared and would have possibly taken longer if I hadn't asked for it to be done. They then came to ask what dessert we would like but no one had told us what was actually on offer, then she tried to verbally tell us, but then immediately forgot. When I told them at the end of the meal an apology wss made but under the circumstances I do think an offer of discount would have been a better more sincere form of apology. I'm afraid to say that I shall not be returning"

If you are looking for somewhere that has good home cooked food then this is it. We had two meals here and couldn’t believe our eyes on the portions! The bar staff are friendly and it has a nice relaxed atmosphere.

We went to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday and it was fantastic. The food was perfect and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for lunch on Sunday. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

After a hiccup with the order. When it arrived it was well worth the wait. It was roast day which was wonderful and plenty on the plate. My husband had the steak pie which was homemade, full of chunky meat and so flavoursome. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Our first time here but certainly won't be the last. £11.95 for 2 course was well worth the money View menu

Me and my husband visited the pub for special menu lunch. Food was really tasty, just like homemade, good choice of desserts, and all that for £18 for two. I honestly don't know how they can do it. Lady at the bar was really pleasant and helpful, good choice of ciders and beers. We shall dine there more often, when we go to the market. We really had a good time.

We pass this pub on way to another when in Louth on Sundays. Board menu looked fine and only reason that we did not stop was perception that food was too cheap. We stopped this time for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed.main course fine and plenty on plate. We didn’t eat all veg. Had to ask for dessert to be takeaway as we were replete. Will go again. Dismal environment in dining area due to decor

Fronting the entrance to the Coop Store in Louth, the outside of the building has the ambience of a traditional English Pub; the interior matches the exterior with an eclectic mixture of fixtures and fittings indicating that the pub has its own style rather than that of a pub chain. My wife and I both chose the roast which on the day was turkey. Delivery of the meal was speedy and the plate was filled such that a very hungry builder may have struggled to finish all of the food. To match the large portion of food was the large covering of gravy too much for our taste. Despite the downsides, the food was ok to good pub grub standard. An inexpensive and filling meal, where refinement of the roa...

Thought we would give this place a try, got in and seated quick enough, order taken within 5 mins and told food would be about 15 mins.... Well almost 40 mins later we were still waiting for drinks and our meal, we asked a member of staff and she said she will check, came back and told us that the table numbers had been changed and our food went to a table that had already eaten so sent back to the kitchen, they didn't even bother to try and find out where it should have gone!!! Another apologised and said it would be right out...20 mins later it still hadn't arrived so we left....absolutely shocking, other patrons said they go in quite often and they never knew service would be that bad, wi...
