"I booked a table mid week for 3 last minute. I requested one suitable for a disabled relative and they happily accommodated us. My Aunty struggles to walk and has use of a stick/walker. The entry ramp is a little steep for a disabled guest but there is no steps to enter. We had to be dropped off on double yellows as it’s a main road and she struggles to walk the distance away we had to park. This did not seem to be a problem. The food we ate was delicious. We had a large cheese and meat platter and a blue cheese platter. We had a selection of the local cheeses as my aunt was over from New Zealand. They also have my favourite orange Whitley Neill Gin. It was lovely for a different kind lunch. Great selection of cheeses and very enjoyable. Nice atmosphere for having a lunch and a chat. However, i also then visited on an weekend evening. On this occasion I found it a bit over crowded and less enjoyable due to a lack of seats. It was too busy and noisy for such a small venue. The toilets are also unisex and only 2 cubical. Less of a problem in the day. But very unpleasant in the evening. They stank and you could smell it every time the door was left open. I’m not a fan of unisex toilets and when the venue is as busy as it was it ended up with queues and a man hounding us in the toilets. I found the 2 experience very different. I would 100% recommend the venue for lunch. We also took home 2 blocks of cheese which were really tasty and authentic. The cheese wasn’t cheap but that’s what you would expect for the level of quality. I’m awarding 4 as the lunch visit alone would have been a 5 but it was let down by the overcrowded unpleasant evening. I would give the evening a second chance and hopefully find it to be better as the drinks, food and service were great on both occasions."

This small bar offers expertly crafted cocktails and delicious-looking food. I plan to return to try their menu. I visited in the early evening and anticipate it will become busier later on.

Spent the evening at The Mousetrap, the staff in particular Troy was super attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Customer service is excellent, delightful young man who makes the place very special and welcoming to all.

I popped in today for a late lunch. I had a quick look at the menu but decided to opt for the make my own platter, advised by the lovely owner after I described the kinds of cheese I love. A really delicious selection and a wide variety to choose from so I’m sure something for everyone there. The coffee is great too!!

I recently visited a friendly and laid-back restaurant that is perfect for dining with a vegetarian husband and friends. The platters were fabulous, particularly the Homity Pie which was the best I've ever had. The cheeses were also delicious. The portions were very generous and there was a huge variety on the platters. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning in the future.

Went as a group of four for an afternoon treat. Good atmosphere and service. We had A Platter of cheese and meats to share with a bottle of wine. Loved the cheeses and accompaniments but the meats were bog standard ham, turkey and beef which didn’t really compliment the cheeses so a bit disappointed. But the rest really made up for this so didn’t say anything. The price was very reasonable £15 each) Will certainly go back!!

My friends and I enjoyed a leisurely lunch at this restaurant, where we caught up over a delicious selection of cheese, olives, spicy chorizo, and pate. The platters were beautifully presented, and the staff was friendly and attentive. However, in light of current circumstances, I would feel more comfortable if the staff wore face masks while preparing the food. It's not clear if this is mandatory, but it would add an extra level of reassurance for me.

Called in on Sunday afternoon for a drink. Didnt eat on this occasion but have in the past and the cheese boards are out of this world. Staff at the Mousetrap have always been lovely but on this occasion the young man serving us (troy) was an absolute delight. What an asset to the business. So friendly and attentive. We ended up staying much longer than we had intended. The live music was also very good and created a really nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend calling in on Sundays, great food, great service and great atmosphere.

If you like nice wines, nice cheeses, great atmosphere and relaxed service this is the place for you. Me and my partner booked in advance after reading it was a busy place and we were glad we did. Your table is allocated for 2hrs which is more than enough time to sample the great wines, meats and cheeses. We had the meat and cheese sharing platter and it was a beautiful array for two personally selected cheeses, Italian meats, crackers, breads, pate, olives, chutney and sundries tomatoes which was washed down with a lovely selected red. We also tried a cocktail each which again was lovely. I will definitely return in the future!
