"The male waiter at the front of house was extremely rude to us. He said there was no online booking system despite us having booked a table online at OpenTable, and being directed to the online booking service by staff in the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery. The waitress who waited our table was lovely. The food was very good, if a bit overpriced, but to be expected in central London/a gallery. Quite quiet inside. It's quite cold if you sit by the door. We had a nice time but I was very annoyed by how rude the man at front of house was it was a treat for my 95 year old grandma so didn't appreciate that at all."

Booked a table for 7.15pm but they informed us when we arrived after we had received our drinks orders that they closed at 8pm. Needs to be more interface between the opentable website and the actual restaurant.

Ambience good, staff great! Food: Starter interesting and tasty; Main Dish we both had fish pie very salt, very little fish and would be accurately described as fish flavoured parsley sauce and potato pie. Disappointing!

We had a very tasty afternoon tea, but the staff's attention was subpar. Also, we chose this restaurant because of their vegan selection of sandwiches since one of my friends is lactose intolerant, but they didn't have any vegan options at the time we went.

We have eaten here many times and this was the worst food ever. Starter of smoked trout had a pile of dressed celeriac which was inedible. Cod was tasteless, broccoli was like wood and very salty. Meclun salad was too salty, mushroom tortellini had an unpleasant flavour and no garnish.

Delightful. Excellent for meeting friends and chatting (no fighting against ambient noise). Good food a little pricey but not too bad considering it’s in central London. Service a little slow only one person doing coffees, teas, drinks and till on day I was there but that’s being picky. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable.
