"This community-owned pub is a pleasant spot to stop during a walk from Helford to St Anthony. The food is good and the welcome can vary depending on who is serving that day. It's worth noting that the atmosphere may be more appealing to Daily Mail readers than Daily Mirror readers. Overall, I gave the food a rating of 4 out of 5."

"This inn, run by a very friendly community, offers excellent food. However, the portions are huge and may not be suitable for those looking to eat lighter."

The lovely hostess went out of her way to assist us during our meal, despite the fact that the service was a little slow. It's a bit out of the way, but definitely worth a visit.

Warm and friendly host, good food and great local beers. Great outdoor garden for ala'cart eating, fairly large car park to rear of the property, especially for a small great village.

We had a delightful dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very friendly. Make sure to check their evening opening hours for food, as they do not serve every day of the week.

Honestly, the most delicious food with ever had for the best price, especially compared to some local rip-offs. I would choose this place every time. Next time I’m back this is where I’ll go. Real pain run by real people who love the place. How it should be x Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"a party of 10 of us has eaten today in the top house inn. the bar staff who took our very late reservation were really helpful, but I fear the dinge went down as we eat back. we asked what was the answer in the seafood plate was “Seafood”. probably right, but not massive helpful. two of our party had the sirloin steak, both ordered medium-sized rare. the steak arrived very fast, but sad was extremely hard, and we tried to send a back. I really appreciate that in these times it is really difficult to find big employees, but I will just actually repeat our experience and let others judge for themselves. first, the waiter suggested to cook the steak longer, as this would make it more tender. hmmmm. a hard steak is a hard steak, but it is cooked. our unfortunate diner refused this offer and suggested that the steak could best be taken from the menu. the waiter replied that they had bought too many to do this! at this point we decided to chat with the cook. his first advice was to tell us that we had cut the steak wrong, which is why it was hard. what I'm not sure I've ever heard before. is there really a real and wrong way to cut the steak? if so, should the restaurants instruct and give a diagram? then it was obvious that our diner had cut and eaten only from the edges of the steak, apparently the middle would have been much better. that could be so, but I have rarely thought of cutting only the middle of a steak and leaving the rest! it is sad to leave a bad review, but the relevant steak was £22 not cheap in this part of the world and I think we had claim to a better meat cut. to make sure that it was not just the opinion of a person, four of us tried it, and all agreed it was difficult. but I think the main hour I would learn is that there is no problem that cannot be made worse by bad customer service. to be fair, the questionable steak was removed from the bill when we asked for the personal. I wish the top house all the best for their future and hope that the current difficultness to get big employees into the gastfreundschaft industry, this kind of experience not more regular, for us or others."
