"The front door was being held together by sticky film as it clearly had had and accident. It turned out that the guy in ripped jeans smoking by outside was the chef. There is no counter, and my order was taken by the waitress shouting across the room. While my food was being cooked, I learned a lot about the sale and packaging of bacon from the conversation in the kitchen, but soon there were a few ladies with babies to provide the entertainment instead, while I felt a bit like I was intruding on a private function. When the food arrived, it was good enough and the price was fair and the portion was generous. If you are expecting a refined tearoom with dainty sandwiches, this might not be the best choice, but if you go more in expectation of a cheap and cheerful transport caff, this place is fine. Forewarned is forearmed, and next time I feel like a hearty breakfast I might give it another go."

The café has undergone a refurbishment and now boasts a brighter and more comfortable atmosphere than before, which is very nice. The addition of new chairs, tables, and cooking facilities has greatly improved the overall experience.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of food options, including hot meals, sandwiches, and snacks. You can enjoy a full meal or simply grab a snack, along with delicious cakes. The service was quick and the staff were friendly and pleasant.

The food was delicious. It's the only place in King's Lynn I would say that serves a proper English Brew. Despite this I would never come again, I was put off by the waitress' constant lingering and the time it to place an order was appauling. View menu

Popped in today with my mum and sister for a quick lunch before mums optician appointment. Mum had the oap pork roast dinner and cuppa which arrived piping hot with fresh veg. Myself and sister had a jacket potato one with tuna and one with beans side salad both of which where well presented and very good value for money. Decent cup coffee too. Will definatly return for a roast next time.

Called here yesterday for lunch. The staff were pleasant and efficient. I had the liver and bacon. This was really lovely with vegetables and lashing os lovely tasty gravy. A really enjoyable meal. My wife had the cod and she to enjoyed that. The cost was very reasonable and great value for money. The downside, the place needs a real upgrade in decoration and furniture. But apart from that, okay for lunch.

3 times i have been here recently for breakfast. the meal has been very satisfactory on each occasion. however i have been very disappointed with the pot of tea that comes with it. apart from being very small as in getting a full very small cup out of it. it has on every occasion been luke warm. don,t know whether they boil a kettle or have some other method but been very disappointed. i know profit is a must but a teabag in a bigger and warmer pot would go a long way i think View menu

We had never visited this restaurant before, but decided to try it for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised. The female owner was excellent at her job, it was obvious that she was well-suited to it. She was welcoming, friendly, and just lovely. My sister ordered the roast beef dinner, which was a generous portion and freshly cooked. My brother-in-law had the medium all day breakfast, and I opted for the small. All of our meals were perfect, with no faults to be found. We would definitely recommend this place, and will be sure to return next time we are in King's Lynn.

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."
