"I remember reading the reviews on Tripadvisor a few years ago and I was almost put off by some of the remarks/comments made about the staff/management and hyperinflated prices. But I thought heck we are going and we can make our own mind up when we got there, and I’m glad I did. I have never looked, 3rd visit and The Old Passage is still going strong. Food, ambience and service has always been brilliant every time we have been be it just the two of us or with friends. If you’re after good food and not afraid to part with your money for a treat then I would say go for it. A well deserved award, keep it up. See you soon."

I had a fantastic evening enjoying Sicilian wine paired with delicious dishes. This event takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and is definitely worth experiencing. I met some wonderful people and learned a lot about wines I wouldn't have normally tried. The staff were lovely, and the restaurant itself offers a beautiful ambiance with stunning views. To top it off, we were treated to a delightful breakfast that included crab and smoked salmon. I highly recommend this event! 5 stars! View menu

amazing! this place is a small shade in great location. fabulous food, definately one of the best seafood we have in a long time, the other half is a chef of 40yrs and hard to please, no complain here. celebrate our 22-year-old anniversary, the staff are very friendly and very attentive. they even brought handmade chocolate plate with a small message, delicious and beautiful surprise. thanks for the perfect afternoon. after all the delicious foods there is a beautiful walk along the river to work these calories. will be back.

Wanted to find the Severn river today, walked the canals to find an entrance, we couldn 't. jumped in the car and drove down a no name road to a dead end. We found an unmarked or non branded house, walked in met the owner of a restaurant the old passage We decided to get a light lunch. This would have to be in the top 3 best meals of my life, discovered after that they hold 2 rosettes and a mention in the Michelin guide. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, simple stunning flavours, innovative cooking, fresh local seasonal produce.

"The negatives first -On arrival the outside looked very dilapidated. There was weeds everywhere and it was in desperate need of a lick of paint. The windows were dirty and you could see stuff stacked up on the sills inside. It was with trepidation that we stepped inside. However, the bar and restaurant area were nicely furnished, even though the carpet was filthy. We found it strange to have to order our breakfast the day before and there was only an hour during which it was available 8-9. A little early if your on you're holidays. There was one lady behind the bar who was run ragged as it was a really busy Saturday afternoon. To her credit she found the time to take us to our room. We stayed in room 2 and were pleasantly surprised. It was spotlessly clean with lovely fresh, soft towels. It was a shame that there's no wardrobe and only two hooks behind the door to hang anything up, but as we were only there for a night it was adequate. The bathroom was stunning with a twin shower with plenty of hot water. We decided to eat there on the Saturday night having walked a lot during the day. We decided on the combo for two people which was absolutely massive, really hot and fresh. The price of drinks was reasonable and we had a really pleasant evening. The Inn is on a busy road and the windows are old, so there was quite a bit of noise overnight. Hubby had ordered a full English for breakfast and I had a bacon sarnie, which was packed full of bacon. There was also a choice of cereals, yoghurts and some lovely fresh fruit -strawberries, raspberries and apricots. The host was very friendly and chatted with us for a while over breakfast. Would we stay again -yes for an overnight stay."
