"Formerly known as The Olive Tree, The Navigator (Pub Dining) is situated at Bournemouth Airport on the "airside" and is exclusively for passengers who have cleared security. After a significant renovation, the venue provides a pleasant space to relax before a flight. The bar is well-stocked and offers an extensive menu, though prices reflect those of an airport. I have only had tea and coffee here, so I cannot speak to the quality of the food, but the meals served to other customers looked well-presented. The tables and chairs, along with leather-style two-seater settees, are spaced out well, and the atmosphere is softened by large potted plants and other decor. The friendly staff provide good service and keep the place clean and tidy. The establishment has large wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, and the toilets are shared airport facilities."

Really surprised how good the breakfast was, both of us really enjoyed it. Was expecting to be ripped off but pleasantly surprised.

On Saturday, August 24th, we found ourselves in the Departure Lounge of Bournemouth Airport. Unfortunately, the bar/restaurant we were looking for was nowhere to be found as it was closed. It has since been replaced by The Navigator.

The olive tree have a captive audience and clearly despite many negative reviews and have no impetus to change. Over priced food, poor service and bitter coffee is what you will be served! Be like Paddington bear and bring your own food!

Having read some of the reviews I wasn’t expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. One of us had the traditional breakfast. Others had the toasted sandwich. I had the chill jacket potato. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. The staff taking orders are very friendly and pleasant. View menu

Great Staff friendly very efficient Breakfast was ok it was mostly and hot on a hot plate Didn’t expect chips (wedges) on a traditional breakfast! Of course it was over priced but what do you expect with only one flight going out and they probably pay a fortune to the airport for being there! But the state of the seats if unacceptable (See image) badly stained! Disgusting!!

I cannot underline exactly how atrocious the quality of food is here. They may be experimenting with a new concept some places have Triple Cooked Chips, these are clearly One Third Cooked Chips, anaemic, tasteless, just vile. Absolute rip off too. Avoid at all costs, much preferable to go in the equally ripping off WH Smith and get a meal deal... at least that would be partially edible. Disgusting is far too generous an assessment.

We stopped for lunch at this restaurant before our flight. Unfortunately, we both had a disappointing meal - the burgers were tasteless and the chips were greasy and unappetizing. I also ordered a coffee, which was okay, while my husband enjoyed his beer. The high prices combined with the poor quality of the food left us regretting our choice, especially since I get queasy when traveling. Next time, I'll stick to coffee and grab some sandwiches from Smiths for the flight instead. View menu

From the menu it may look good to have breakfast before an early flight at £7.95. Specially is you take into consideration that food at the airport are usually overpriced. But this one is not worth it. Is a lame breakfast consisting of a sorry Cumberland sausage smaller than a fish finger. a slice of bacon , and small cooked tomato, an egg and beans. All that could easily fit in a cereal bowl, the quality and quantity is not there. I wouldn't mind to pay a bit more as far as the portion are of a reasonable size.

I visited The Navigator on 2nd June with my wife and son for lunch before our flight. I ordered a burger which to be honest can only be described as vile, it cost around £12 and it was evidently heavily processed rubbish. I took one small bite and there were hard lumps of gristile in it. My sons mashed potato was of the powdered variety, it was definitely not real potato and looked/tasted like Smash. My wife and I ordered a side of carrots and broccoli and again the broccoli had gone off, it was brown and wilted around edges. I’m not normally one to complain but this place sold me terrible food for a ridiculous price and I feel it is a disgrace. If you are going to charge top dollar at the v...
