"I think this is the place where David Cameron came for fish and chips with the Chinese Prime Minister. I might be wrong. Anyway, it was a biker stop off nice to sit outside and enjoy the country. Worth a visit, it's a bit tucked away. You can walk up the hill to get to the white cross. A good hike and you can see for miles! Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet"

Ordinary pleasant pub catering for locals and passing hikers, who are requested to remove any muddy boots before entering the bar. We didn't sample the food, but the locals were having pub grub as well as liquid lunches. Good selection of lagers and ales. Tables inside and out, with most outside being sheltered under canopies.
