"My twin brother Stephen and I visited all the Wetherspoon pubs in Sheffield, The Sheaf Island Pub was one of the best we dropped into. A big Wetherspoon pub, the interior is cool ,typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings including photos and prints relating to Sheffields industrial past adorning the walls, a long solid wood serving bar dominates the main room and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside, its a fab Wetherspoon pub. We were here on a Wednesday evening, we grabbed a table, I went up the bar and ordered a large mixed grill each and for our drinks a gin tonic each, gin tonics were so refreshing, while sipping our gins our meals arrived and what a treat. Everything you could want ,steak, sausage, gammon, chips, onion rings, very tasty, very filling and just what we needed. We really enjoyed our meals and drinks in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another drink,we chose a guinness, poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we took our guinness outside and settled back, soaking up the sun while sipping our guinness. We moved on after our final guinness and for a first time visit to The Sheaf Island Pub we had a great time. The Sheaf Island Pub is easy to locate along Ecclesall Road. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 8am till Midnight. A wonderful Wetherspoon pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area."

Will S was fantastic, extremely attentive and professional, a true asset to the team! We had a wonderful time before heading out for the night.

I attempted to order multiple dishes today (06/08) at the restaurant, but each time I tried, the app showed an error and cleared my basket. Frustrated, I decided to leave without placing an order.

A usual warm welcome at this Wetherspoons pub, very busy by 6:30pm and obviously a big haunt for Uni students! No problem for me, but if you are looking for more of a peaceful Spoons....this aint it! View menu

Have visited quite a few times and never been disappointed however this visit for a spot of lunch was the best yet. The team were great and ever so helpful. My Chicken Jalfrezi was amongst the best I've ever had and the garlic nan was so buttery and is a definite re-order next I go.

A great spot to enjoy lunch in the sun. It was quiet on a Friday, likely due to the absence of students. The service was quick, as usual. We had a couple of pints and a delicious dish of tacos. The portion was generous, especially with the guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. I would definitely recommend it.

Driving from Sheffield to Stockport, I decided to shop for some lunch, it was 11.45 am and not wanting to struggle with the city centre traffic or the clean air tax, l decided to see if there was any smaller restaurants open on Eccleshall road. No where seemed to be open, so ended up in Wetherspoons. As it was a Tuesday and steak deals day, I had a mixed grill, coffee and a pint of chocolate stout for £10 ish. Good promt service, in a large clean pub. Its a pity parking is so difficult in Sheffield and the clean air tax increases costs when driving, otherwise I would have investigated some of themore interesting pubs restaurants in the town centre. The iconic duo decide to take a trip to the Sheaf Island on a Sunday evening with the Chris Browns I.e Jess and Hugo. The overall atmosphere was a quiet one about 5 tables a unusually quiet one for a place that has £3 pints. For starters the bar service was not great, poor Hugo spent 5 minutes pacing up and down to try get his pint of Stella, we all know why that drink is famous ; . Then the spicy white ordered a Heineken pint, no head this November for Kyle as the pint is below the glass, shocking behaviour. But where this took a great turn is at the length of the chips, my word we got some long ones, Facebook would be proud. 12cm was the longest and the amount of chips were reasonable and...

Our first meal at a Wetherspoons since the start of the pandemic and the first noticeable thing was the reduced size of the menu. I used to love the chicken and avocado salad with bacon but that had disappeared along with many items.I am trying to be sensible and look after my weight so I ordered the slimmer's option chicken burger. Big mistake. It came with a bowl of dry greenery with slices of tomato cucumber and red onion. Likewise the burger came with the same greenery inside a dried out burger bun which I assumed was intended to be toasted on the inside. This is normally to contain the wet items in a burger i.e. dressings/pickle of which there was nothing and the chicken was not a patty...
