"On our way to Buchanan castle (amazing find btw driving along stirling road we happened to pass a sign for this place. Wanting coffee, my fiancé, my dad and I stopped to check it out. After parking in the gravel parking lot, we walked to the into the beautiful magically themed courtyard (not over the top, but a perfect touch After entering the Soup Dragon Cafe we noticed a few vegan options on the daily specials board, glancing at the menu we saw it was peppered with vegetarian and vegan options, and upon ordering our coffee, we discovered to our delight that there were four options for vegan “milks”! There was also a display case with 5 baked goods, two of which were vegan (the one we tried [fondant pastry I think] was out of this world We tried a vegan haggis roll (super tasty), as well as the sausage sandwich (also good). Can’t recommend this place enough! The atmosphere was perfect, everybody was very nice, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the shop also seemed to sell post cards and a few other things. There was a community book shelf of donated books in the courtyard as well, and if we hadn’t been in such a rush we would have undoubtedly stayed longer to enjoy the area! Perfect place to stop by if your ever driving by Killearn or Ballfron — it’s right on the way to Buchanan Castle and queen Elizabeth forest park if you’re coming from the stirling area. It’s right off the main road, and is easy to access."

I'm not sure why this gets such mixed reviews on here. There are loads of vegan options, I had the page, it was all homemade including the bread. It had a nice friendly atmosphere and they were great with our fussy kids

we visited the caffe today during the visit of harmony fields tierheiligtum, on the same spatialities. there was a good choice of vegan options available. I had the homemade vegan sausage and caramelized wobble ciabatta and celeriac and limette soup, followed by chocolate fondant cake. everything was delicious and good value for money. the animal sanctuary is small, but beautiful.

I went here last weekend and ordered a pasta dish which was clearly marked vegan. The dish came served with garlic bread which, when I checked with the kitchen, turned out not to be vegan. Staff didn’t appear overly concerned that a non-vegan item was being served with a dish labelled vegan. My parted was also given a packet of butter with her soup despite clearly asking if the soup was vegan.

This is definitely one of the best places to get vegan food in the southern Loch Lomond area, but you need a car to get here. The cafe is surprisingly popular given their location and the food on offer is nice but not very cheap (about 8 pounds for soup and sandwich). On first glance, everything appears to be quite alternative, but the gift shop next door is such a weird commercial business. Plus they have an animal sanctuary but serve meat all in all very inconsistent.

The Soup Dragon Cafe is in a fantastic location not far from Loch Lomond; even the gravel car park has spectacular views! Entry is through a cute little courtyard alongside the other parts of Tir Na Nog Holistic Centre, immediately giving a relaxed and welcoming feel. There are some outdoor tables in this courtyard, where you can sit with dogs (who can't go into the cafe itself). For a small cafe menu, there are plenty of vegan options, including breakfast sandwiches, salad, pasta, and changing specials of soup and pate dishes. The soup and pate we had were yummy. There was also a cake cabinet, and on our visit this had one vegan chocolate traybake, which we tried and was OK too, though I th...
