"We visited in October on the day the establishment changed hands, which is relevant because it was their excuse for everything; not one meal arrived as ordered they didn’t know their own menu, none of the meals came at the same time, when taken back to the kitchen completely different meals from what was ordered came back. When we complained, we were met with a very aggressive ‘manager’ who then told us to leave extremely rude, absolute amateurs and very poor run of the mill food. Our neighbouring table had very similar experiences and we repeatedly heard the manager saying sorry to multiple customers around the restaurant! Never again!"

This charming pub offers a wonderful atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. The place is clean and well-maintained. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well.

Able to look out on the canal locks while having lunch with friends. Food was excellent, fresh and delicious. Service was very good and we were well looked after. We found out when leaving that it was under new management. Wish them every success. Vegetarian options: See dietary restrictions! Dietary restrictions: A wide selection of food plus good vegetarian options with calories counted next to each meal. Also lighter bites for smaller appetites but still a decent sized portion

We visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our roast meal. The new owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We returned last night with our daughter and son-in-law, and everyone ordered different dishes, all of which were delicious and flavorful. Once again, the owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. My husband mentioned that he noticed the beer tastes better than it did six months ago. We are looking forward to more visits in the future. Rob, Lisa, and our dog Millie highly recommend this place!
