"Great local village pub, hosts a great pub quiz every other Monday and serves beautiful food every day of the week! All staff are always super friendly and stop for a chat or to feed the dog a biscuit! We’ve eaten here as a couple countless times and never once had a complaint on food, every dish served has been great quality, generous portions and lovely presentation. Personal favourites of mine are the sirloin steak and the pasta bolognaise. My partner returns for the pork belly mash time and time again! This is also our favourite place to come to for a Sunday dinner, defo book if possible, they do have some availability for walk-ins but typically they are booked up all day and that speaks for itself."

We visited today the food was excellent. We have been to many high end restaurants, the food here was better.

Great food and service. The gentleman serving us was great and took my teasing over the lack of riçe pudding with the fun it was intended. Good night

We have dined at this restaurant multiple times this winter and have always been satisfied. The food is consistently delicious, freshly prepared, and the staff is friendly with excellent service.

We visited on Friday night at late notice, received a quick response saying they held a table for us. Extremely friendly staff, a really great range of real ales. The food was brilliant, it's so nice to have a pub where the food is genuinely home cooked and prepared on spec. Matt the Landlord is a star with his knowledge of real ales. Thanks for your time last night, and the gifts for my brother. We will defo be back to see you.

This eatery was recommended to us. After a 1/2 hour drive we arrived. On entering there were quite a few people already eating. We asked for a table and told to find one that wasn’t already set up which we did. A young man came over to take our order of drinks and gave us a menu. The menu was the usual pub grub, priced similar to other eateries. The food on arrival was ok, but nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the journey. The older lady who served us didn’t smile until we went to pay. We weren’t given a bill, just told the cost. Don’t think we will be returning, better places nearer to home.

We went to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch with our neighbors. We had been to the pub before, but never for Sunday lunch. The service and food were both excellent. There were several roast options to choose from, and I decided to try the vegetarian option - a cranberry and nut roast. Sometimes nut roasts can be dry, but this one was not at all. It was flavorful and delicious. I also enjoyed the rosemary roast potatoes and vegetarian gravy. The dessert selection was also impressive. Overall, it was a great value for a tasty Sunday lunch. We will definitely be returning in the future. It was fantastic.

This restaurant offers excellent food. My husband had the scampi and I had the beer battered cod, both served with chips and salad, as well as chips and minted pea purée. Both dishes were made from scratch and tasted like they were from a high-end establishment. The homemade tartare sauce and lemon added extra flavor to the meals. For dessert, we had coconut rice pudding with fruit compote and sticky toffee pudding with gelato and strawberries, both of which were delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere in the pub, with many diners, was pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
