"Although we had booked a table online in advance, the table was not ready for us at 5.30pm but the staff quickly joined two tables together which was fine. The food was excellent. One of the staff was quite abrupt when taking the dessert order and snapped the menus off us. He was clearly trying to rush (although it seemed unnecessary as they seemed to have plenty of staff) but then only 4 of the 5 desserts arrived and we had to ask for the fifth dessert again as it had been forgotten about. Although the service could have been better, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced."

Jay Raj is still a fantastic restaurant. We visited when it first opened and the food is just as delicious as we remember.

I tried to make a reservation at the restaurant, but they wouldn't let me in. Jayraj told me they no longer work with OpenTable. This was my first time using the app, and I probably won't use it again since I can't rely on it.

The meals were superb, very tasty. The service was great, very polite and friendly waiters. The restaurant was clean and tidy. My friend and I were completely satisfied with the whole experience and will both be paying a repeat visit.

Have tried other Indian restraunts and jay raj in our opinion is the best for service and quality of food. All the staff are friendly ,they remember you as a returning diner, offer complimentary drinks at the end of your meal, first class , exceptionally clean . View menu

During my time in the Luton area, I was on the lookout for a good curry house. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on OpenTable. The service was top-notch, the food was expertly cooked and delicious. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again.

Fantastic food served by really nice people all set in a nice, clean restaurant. Only criticism is the the set menu for food for 3 was brilliant and reasonable at £40 but felt a little ripped off over the drinks. 3 beers, 2 cokes and 2 lemonades was almost the same price as the food. If a next time will just drink water as too expensive with the drinks.

"After reading all the good reviews we decided to try this restaurant and had high expectations We arrived to not a particularly warm welcome the waitress told us the specials were chicken, steak and veal and walked off no mention of how they were cooked or what sauces they came with and no prices after asking how the veal came the waitress had to go into kitchen and ask the chef who shouted out how they were cooked and the waitress then said did you hear that? we decided to just order off of the menu we ordered drinks to start with (a bottle of rose wine plonked on the table not even opened) when the lady came to take our order we asked if we could have a few minutes to finish our pre dinner drinks it was obviously a problem for her that we wanted to wait a short while and after being asked for about the fifth time we felt under pressure to place our order (even though the restaurant was half empty) whilst the pasta dishes were nice the garlic bread left a lot to be desired basically just a toasted slice of white dry bread as soon as we had finished our main course our plates were taken away and the bill put on the table we were not asked if we wanted anything else as we still had half a bottle of wine left we didn’t settle the bill straight away as we were enjoying our wine we lost count of the times they tried to ask us to pay again under immense pressure we paid and felt like we had to leave it was not a relaxing evening nor were we made to feel welcome. This restaurant specialises in pasta and pizza and we heard the waitress telling tow guys who wanted pizza that they only had enough dough left for one pizza they had run out and it was only 8.30! Overall our experience of this restaurant was very disappointing very rushed, unfriendly staff, no niceties and certainly not a relaxing evening we will not be returning."
