amazing staff, served me last minute and were super friendly! the long day at work today really hit the place

Had haggis supper from here, it was lovely, staff are friendly and the food is great, what more could you want, very varied menu so lots of choices

Ordered a carry out the last day before Covid-19 shut down. Chips were cold, and I mean cold. Fish was definately previous days'. Stale batter, dry fish. Won't be buying from here again. View menu

for four ordered, eating came half an hour earlier than indicated, but delivered as bought and beautiful and hot. decent portions and very tasty, scotch haggis and white pudding were delicious. better prices than similar local punctuals. I'd like to use it again.

I am absolutely disgusted by what i was served, my food was lukewarm when i got it, it was so dry, it was like eating sand. The food took a very long time (20 mins) it was not up to par. The owners dont care and are rude. Never again Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

As a first time customer I am very disappointed with the food live 30seconds from the chip shop and food was luke warm chips tasted old and chicken strips were cold how does this happen when live less then a minute away one star given for the friendly women I spoke to on the phone View menu

I grew up in Haddington and nearly all my childhood fish/haggis suppers were from here. Having returned recently after a gap of about two decades, I was delighted to find that food and service are both still great. Best pudding haggis super going great chips and, of course, salt sauce!

Chippies are Chippies when all said and done. Never-the-less any of these fast food establishments could have queues outside if only they would pay a little attention to quality. It seems of little concern that items have perhaps been ' double cooked ' or left lying for so long to be rendered tired and uninteresting. A quick ching of the till clearly more important than a any desire to build quality and thus the business. After the last fish supper purchase I promised myself not to return.

A classic old school style chippy, run by an enthusiastic, passionate Scottish-Italian family, the Townhouse Fish Bar has everything the discerning customer could desire. All of the original dishes from the fryer menu are available, the chips themselves are top notch, golden, crispy and fluffy on the inside... The pizza is fantastic using special dough from naples, the kebabs are awesome, everything is made fresh, and if there is something more modern that you can't see on the menu just ask and if they can accommodate you they will :D (my personal favourite is the humble yet tasty scooby snack) prices are reasonable, portion sizes are GENEROUS, the flavours are big and delicious...
