"This should be a really nice restaurant but avoid the xmas period. There is no working website and no obvious menu. When we booked for new year we were not told it was a 'fixed menu '. The fixed menu was bizarre and eye wateringly expensive. We and others left because of this and the restaurant was essentially empty. No pizza, no pasta and no childrens menu. The squid starter is normally £9 but for new year it was £13.50. Main courses were £30-40 compared to the more normal £10-15 on a typical night. Kid-friendliness: No childrens menu for new year. We enjoyed an excellent meal at Cucina Amore. The service was great, the menu had a super range of choices and the food was absolutely delicious. When the owner realised that we were celebrating my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary, she arranged for a special celebration surprise for them. We checked the reviews before booking. Wise move, the food was superb, fast service. The mushroom risotto was one of the best that we have tasted. Highly recommend, you must book a table if you're visiting North Berwick!
