"I have been to signor sassi's Bangkok branch but never to the london one. The aroma here is everything you would wish for in an Italian restaurant. I went there on a Friday and I don't think you SHOULD reserve a table because the restaurant is quite big. The service there is fantastic and the food was good. "Really disappointing meal out here. 6 of us in a subterranean booth, almost in the dark, no additional light sources and a point9 font menu is already a bad start..... once we’d deciphered the menu, using phone torches, attention from staff poor, no help pouring wine or water, service slow to the point of asking for the bread twice guys it’s the bread basket how can you be so slow with this? The tomato and red onion salad was a joke one small tomato and a sprinkling of red onion slices plonked on a plate and chilled, with no dressing or seasoning is NOT a salad and certainly not worth £4.50. The pizza featuring burrata I love burratta but am sure there should not have been ice crystals within. Effectively we’d have had a much better, warmer, brighter and less expensive meal, with far better service at Pizza Express. What a shame."

"6 of us booked to celebrate a special birthday 3 ordered calzone, all 3 found this to be cold in the middle (due to a lot of filling we were told) 1 was reheated in a microwave which made the whole dish soggy We all received a replacement pizza but this was disappointing and seemed to be quite salty One of the pasta dishes ordered seemed to be very salty especially in the middle My wife ordered tagliatelle but received a risotto- she ate it rather than make a fuss on her 60th birthday Although the manager was eager to offer us replacement pizza we all felt the evening was ruined by then No effort was made to offer any compensation Maybe it was just a bad night and we can all have those but I cannot imagine visiting this restaurant again I left feeling very embarrassed and sorry for my wife who should have had a memorable meal for the right reasons"

"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"Tried out this place on a visit to Glasgow with my daughter. It has amazingly friendly staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We both ordered pizza and sadly my daughter's margarita was over cooked as the cheese had started turning brown. My ham pizza was incredibly dry, there was very little cheese and even less tomato sauce. We ate what we could, paid and left. They seem to offer a real variety of Italian dishes and many of the other diners seemed very happy, but our pizza experience was a miss. Would maybe try again but order one of the delicious looking pasta dishes."

"Although most chain restaurants serve okay food, I was disappointed by the quality of the food served here. The restaurant itself is a good size, and being in a part of five we were seated upstairs. There were not many appetizing vegetarian dishes on the menu for a reasonable price so I decided to settle on penne in a garlic sauce. The portion size was decent but my food was bland, and greasy. "Service, service, service.... The treatment we received was efficient, bordering on surley. No time to crack a smile or answer a question. Some of the food was good. The tunna carpaccio was on point, though wanting for a drizzle of oil. A second course of lobster ravioli served as a main, rather than the second starter I asked for, my companion called “school canteen” food, tough packets of lobster flavoured gunk, more in common with packet ravioli from tesco’s than the lose, silky, self evidently hand made parcels of fresh crustacean I was hoping for. The butter and sage sauce was nowhere to be seen, I believe there were chopped tomatoes instead. The veal was good, sadly not to be had, as promised on line, with capers. The side of beans was as confronting as our server it was so al dente. A bowl of freshly grated parmisan left on our table by another server was a benediction. The bill: £82 change our drinks were a smallish a bottle of sparking water at nearly £5. I had worked out the costing of this meal based on the menu posted online at around £55 60 for actual food drink items. Apparently the new post Brexit/covid/war prices haven't made it on line yet the ravioli main course has gone up from £20 to £26. Even with the 15% service charge we could not have anticipated spending £82 on three plates, a side a bottle of water. Though I specified I wanted the plates in succession making the ravioli a second course before the main as pasta should be in Italy, the two plates were brought together as two mains, not what I had hoped for fair enough, it was after nine by the time we walked in, however it would have been nice to be asked before the chef/server took the executive role for us. With £90 in cash on the table the prevalent attitude was the balance would be a tip on top of the service charge. 25% for service? Possibly ok, if it was pleasant: that we had to ask for our change tells you about the service put a sour note on top of an already kinda dismal meal. I rarely eat out, this was my special treat place, I live around the corner. I thought I was so clever bringing a guest here, the experience was significantly different from the last few times (incidentally, I’ve always sat outside in the past and it’s cramped inside I ended up feeling embarrassed sad. I don't think I’ll be back soon. Here’s to cooking at home. :"

"we have never set ourselves right, because the button movement on the reservation leads them to the spaghetti house on the goodge street, not to the restaurant on the sicilian avenue. the goodge street restaurant could not accommodate us (and were very rude) and we had no time to make it into the other restaurant, because of a theatre booking. we tried to ring, but they didn't pick up! eating and ambiente may be great, but their phone, email and communication skills are appalling. a nice pub that made a nice cake. not the pasta we had hoped for!"

"I'm sorry it was terrible. They said they didn't have my booking. He waited for 20 minutes for a drink that was terrible when he arrived, the Prosecco tasted. The pasta was not boiled one end had not made the water! Then to finish it, the Tiramisu was frozen!! "My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."

"I booked this restaurant for a post theater dinner for my mother's birthday. We arrived 20 mins early but the restaurant was able to accommodate us as it was empty, it was around 5:40pm. The waiters were not very welcoming or friendly. The service was slow even though the restaurant was empty. The food was below average. One of my party ordered calamari and when it arrived it was all batter and the calamari was dried out and hard. The mains were below average. I was very disappointed with the food and the service. The restuarant did not even acknowledge that the booking was for a birthday, it was only when i mentioned it whilst paying the bill they offered to bring a complimentary cake with a candle but by then i felt it was too late. It was definitely not the kind of birthday dinner I had planned for my mother. I would definitely not recommend the place and the lack of ambiance in the restaurant was made worse by the building works going on outside."

"My Wife and I try and get out for a meal at least once a month, previous visits here were very good. Starters were fine, but I ordered a medium rare fillet steak for my main, got my steak which was well done, mistakes do happen, but to try and tell me that the steak was medium rare was just frustrating, I should not need to explain the difference, so replaced my steak with a medium rare, although after my wife had finished her meal. Did give us a free bottle of wine to apologize, which was a nice touch."

"What a treasure we stumbled upon. Our family wandered into Piccolo and it was excellent. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. Our picky eater daughter declared both the calamari and Milanese some of the best she’d ever eaten. My lasagna was also excellent as was my husband’s soup and our apple tarte dessert! The restaurant has a lovely casual neighborhood charm. It wasn’t ever full while we were there, which made no sense to us, but is great news for anyone looking for a last minute option. Highly recommend — we will absolutely return."
