"We had dinner here as we were staying nearby and a lot of places don’t open on Mondays. We looked at the menu and the food was traditional. The restaurant is clean and also traditional. We ate poppadums with chutneys and also had onion bhajis and chicken pakora for starters, both of which were delicious and piping hot. We followed this with curries and my partner asked for some variations to the menu which the restaurant were willing to do and ended up recreating a dish we’d had elsewhere. It was delicious and again piping hot. We also had a jalti which is a cross between a Balti and a Jalfrezi and is fantastic. Again the breads were well cooked and the lager was perfectly chilled. The young waiter was attentive and friendly and the manager was the same eager to please and ensure our experience was perfect. A great meal fresh, flavourful, hot, well cooked and reasonably priced. What’s not to like? If we lived locally we’d go regularly."

"we had here this afternoon. not for the first time. I had the fish cake as a starter and then the fish finger sandwich. my better half had the fish and chips. now we are both hard to please when we eat and lately we had so much disappointment with service, quality and cost. Today we were treated with some first-class foods that did not require a second hypothec. eating was quite simply extraordinary and we will return to see her again. many thanks for the meal and remain true to use great deeds and not tear off their customers like many do. we are making"

"We found this restaurant after our hotel stopped serving food at 4pm on a Sunday. Although it's not a cozy spot, the staff were fantastic, even on a busy Sunday night. The house merlot wine was excellent and the pizzas we had were top-notch. We even got to chat with Sharon, the pizza chef, who seemed to appreciate our positive feedback. We hope she'll be working again when we return to dine there tonight!"

"Sometimes you don’t want chrome, you want comfort. Grandma, not glamour. My friend and I visited for a booked afternoon tea on a dull and rainy afternoon and this place raised our spirits back to happy! Beautifully presented (photos on other reviews are absolutely spot...on), so tasty, and pots and pots of tea. We just loved it. Unashamedly old fashioned and all the better for it, this place clearly has a loyal clientele and more than deserves it. Over two hours passed in a flash and we loved every minute and mouthful. Thank you."

"Ok so always start with a positive.....the room was huge and very quaint. Decent size double bed and single bed, sink in room and had ensuite toilet. Shower big enough for our 3 year old granddaughter only. Well what can I say apart from that....it was awful! Don't eat in the restaurant.....mix of everything but nothing good, staff had no idea what they were doing! So as had breakfast included thought yep can't get that wrong....I've had better service in a roadside cafe! Yep and it felt like a greasy spoon, out of 8 fried eggs only 2 were decent rest poor. Don't mind helping myself to buffet but not even salt or pepper on tablets everything in packets... Staff too busy singing to serve guests be ok but they couldn't hold a tune! So for £139 find yourself somewhere else"
