"Visited here a few times for Sunday lunch and it has always been an enjoyable experience with amazing food. We have recommended Sunday lunch to a number of people. We booked a table for 4 of us. We were seated quickly, given menus and orders taken promptly. Myself and my partner are vegetarian and both ordered the wellingtons which were very nice. Our friends ordered the roast platter and the sirloin beef. All the meat was overcooked and tough. I did complain and was given a discount on those meals. Throughout the meal no one offered any condiments, more drinks or asked if everything was OK. I had to seek out a member of staff. Very disappointed, the price that the meals are, I would expect better. Will not be recommending anywhere again."

A nice place that we called in for a drinks. I think that it would have been nice to see some twinkly lights or a candle around the fireplace as it looked dull and miserable.

We came for afternoon tea and it was absolutely delightful. They do accommodate special requests, and the food sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and desserts were all delicious. Service was impeccable.

I'll start by saying that our food was fine (apart from the fact that two out of about 10 mussels were unopened) but prices are a little too high for the type of place. The restaurant wasn't very busy and lacked atmosphere. The service was ok but not outstanding. View menu

Tonight my family and I came here for the mamma mia night. It was amazing! The screen was big and loud enough for us all to hear. The food was absolutely amazing , the cocktails were genius and the service was spot on as usual. Thank you to Amanii, Jess and all the team for another spectacular themed night!

Great Food and Cocktails with a bunch of girls, restaurant was busy but the service remained attentive. The food did take around 25 mins to arrive but let me tell you it was worth the wait. All fresh you can tell the quality of chef they have in the kitchen. No microwaves here !! Gorgeous little family run pub and restaurant you're a credit to Bingham keep it up

Booked a table for 3 at 5.45pm. Could not have earlt bird 2 courses for set price as advertised online. Two meals, pasta and chicken/ rice were served on cold plates. Never serve anything, especially rice and pasta on cold plates. Third mal was a curry in small iron pots. Desserts served on cold plates. Spotted dick wasn't warm enough. Disappointed. Not good value for money. View menu

Brought my daughter for food. the kids menu is lovely, clearly well thought of by people with children which is always a good start. Our main courses of trio of pie was something else. My husband wanted to order a portion to take home. Nice to eat somewhere child friendly but also with good food for adults. Ambience was very nice early evening. Candles lit but still lively and welcoming. Need to come back to enjoy some cocktails and ciders.

Had a lovely meal tonight. There is a choice of good wholesome food such as fish and chips and something different but equally well sourced and cooked. Tonight we had SMOKED MUSSELS Black GarlicButter Sauce, Sea Salt Thyme Bruschetta And GOATS CHEESE BAVAROIS Balsamic Pear, Walnut The goats cheese was good but the mussels were there best of the two starters We then had CHICKEN BREAST Potato Rosti, Roasted Carrots, Savoy Cabbage, Pancetta Cream And VENISON COTTAGE PIE Equally good, plenty of well cooked tasty food. Good for a date night or something more special

"I'll start with the positives. The interaction I had on Facebook to book a table, and then change the booking, was very positive. The two young waitresses who served us were great. The pub is shabby with rubbish and cigarette butts scattered outside the door...and a smell of smoke in the doorway. The décor is tired and tatty, and the bench seat in the restaurant area has a big split in it. The floor of the restaurant had bits of food and other rubbish on it. The salt and pepper and vinegar bottle didn't look like they'd been cleaned for a few days. The food was uninspiring, and mostly overcooked. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt black and were mostly inedible (when we commented on this, the waitress said she was too scared of the chef to say anything to him). The roast potatoes were hard and tough. The vegetables (not enough for 6 of us from one dish) were not great and the cauliflower cheese was the most uninspiring I've had for a long time. The lamb was OK, but that's all I can say about it. The whole menu (apart from a goat's cheese salad) was dull and unimaginative, even allowing for the fact that for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day most people want roasts. We didn't bother staying to have desserts. I thought from the TripAdvisor reviews that we were going to a gastropub, or a pub with a super restaurant. It was like having a meal in a pub 30 years ago, which is fine if that's what you want. It was a dreadful experience and not at all the way we wanted to celebrate my son's birthday and Mother's Day. We will not go back again."
