"Very disappointing The restaurant itself was almost empty when we arrived and lacked atmosphere. There was a lot of laughter/noise coming from the kitchen though. Heard the food here was very good but that was not my experience! I had the duck ragu, which lacked in flavour a little and appeared to be served with egg noodles instead of spaghetti as advertised. Very very strange. The portion was large. The garlic bread accompaniment was crispy and tasty though. My partner had a rump steak which had been cooked to perfection. It came with a red wine jus and creamy mash. He enjoyed it a lot. My dessert was so disappointing, I ordered the apple strudel but what I got looked liked it came from a school cafeteria! The pastry was bland, wet and stodgy. It had been microwaved. Confectioners dust heaped unappealingly on top. It was honestly disgusting. Service was friendly and pleasant. Would go back but only for drinks"

Great pub with loyal customers but needs the brewery to invest in a renovation programme

Nice village pub, excellent choice of ales and cider. Inside dinning plus outside tables. Good sized car park. Wheelchair accessible.

Food was tasty and staff were polite and professional. We were a large group with a range of dietary requirements, and were offered options not on the menu where needed. Thanks!

Food good, but that's it, was unfortunate to stay 2 nights, 3rd night had to leave due to some spore/fungi infestation behind a chair in the bedroom. Filthy carpets, was supposed to be £35 a night, but was charged 40.

SCAM! On the website it is written double room for 60GBP, then they charge you 75GBP saying that the owner didn 't change the price online . If you are thinking about coming here, DON 'T. Moreover, the room is disgusting, stains all over the carpet and dirty. You could really see how little they care about their business and the only goal is to take money out of people pockets

Went for a family meal and the food was absolutely incredible. There were 11 of us and all had 3 courses and was all brought out very efficiently and at same time. However..... My issue is myself and my partner had a room overnight and the key was bent (we were told on arrival) but we struggled for 5 mins to get out of room in morning and I feel this is a huge health and safety issue if there had been a fire we simply couldn't of got out! Plus only 1 cup provided and the kettle kept sparking and seen better days also when getting in to bed there was what appeared to be blood on bedsheets so removed before getting in. There was no handsoap provided in bathroom which I think should be.
