"We discovered this fabulous restaurant on our 1st visit to a Buckland rental Cottage for a month in 2017, a 2-week Christmas visit in 2018 with Christmas Day dinner reservation made from the USA with Carol. Three more one month long stays in 2019, 2021 (Buckland rentals) and 2023 rental right here in Childswickham and stays always include multiple lunches and dinners. Sadly, we will have our last dinner tomorrow night, prior to our return to the USA very early Saturday morning"

Average village pub serves good food, nothing outstanding. Beers kept well. Gets busy on Sundays, but doesn’t feel like a Cotswold pub, it could be placed anywhere.

Nice place, good menu although to be honest the menu reads very well but the food wasn't quite as good as described, having said there was nothing wrong with the food at all, just didn't reach my expectations.

Had a lovely meal here. Chose the rump steak. Cooked to perfection . Went on the buy one get one free deal that they are doing for a few weeks. Great selection. Already booked again for next week. 5 highly recommend

I went here to celebrate my sister's birthday. It's a nice place, nice staff and lovely food. I had a tartlet with a salad and my sister had a big bowl of pasta, both were delicious. Highly recommended, a very pleasant place with great food and service View menu

We always go here for Sunday lunch each time we visit the Cotswolds and the staff are friendly and welcoming every time. Food is consistently good and they always make us and our dogs feel extremely welcome. Highly recommend but book in advance as it’s always busy!

Myself and my girlfriend came here for her birthday on Thursday. I need to say that it was one of the best meals either of us has had out for a long long time. The atmosphere is very casual, the staff were attentive yet not intrusive and the ossobucco was delicious. A huge thanks to everyone concerned for a lovely lunch.
