"sad, no great experience. I couldn't book first. the table was not ready, had to sort mainly chairs themselves. recorded chair that came apart, broken. the second chair was not sure to sit down. no prosecco. gin lemonade, came gin tonic. steak was cold. £4 for at least 6-8 chips. had no cheese for dessert and for £12 so, so minimal. all empty glasses were left on the table, so the table was quite scattered. the service was really not so great, although the waitress tried it best. for the amount of money we spent, we are quite disappointed."

If you like roast beef this is the place for your Sunday lunch. Generous and delicious. I’m looking forward to exploring the weekday menu.

During a campervan trip with friends, we stayed at this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was exceptional (including gluten-free pizza and vegan options!)

a brilliant pub: immaculately attentive, but relaxed fun service, really great eating and super offer on beer. warm and cozy, a burning block burner in the center of the bar while they are entering. perfect pub.

the pizzas are properly cooked in a pizza oven and the toppings are really well thought out. my black pudding and ei was amazing. as an appetizer we had the mushroom croquettes. really nice! I think that they change the menu quite often to what is available in front of location so that I am really excited how the next pizza will surprise me. the service was really very nice. we were all very impressed, even our dogs!

Located in a charming village with quaint dug and flint houses, The Wheatsheaf is a historic pub with a garden and a vintage shop on the upper level. I tried the black ink ravioli and it was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was amazing. The carbonara also looked appetizing and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place. The staff was very professional as well. I wish they had a bus route to Newbury so I could visit all the time! Thank you.
