"Just arrived back from a two night stay at The White Lion and couldn’t praise it high enough. Our first time staying here and from the moment we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely young lady shown us to our room which was in the courtyard behind the pub (room 7 it was really lovely, decor was great, bed was so comfortable and bathroom was a great size plus everywhere was spotlessly clean. Free WI FI during your stay is a big plus, room refreshments were a great variety too. A brochure of Hebden Bridge was a nice touch in the room as well. The pub is in a great location central to the town. We jumped on the B3 Brontë bus minutes walk away from the pub to visit Haworth for the day too which was fab. I have to say the breakfast was the best full English breakfast I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot in my time compliments to the chef. The staff waiting on us on both mornings although on their own on each morning did an amazing job seeing to everyone’s needs I couldn’t fault them at all they were really friendly and helpful considering they were serving each table on their own they made sure each table was looked after properly so a big shout out to those girls. On our second night we had booked an evening meal and again food was outstanding! My Hubby had the Steak and Ale pie and I had the rump steak burger with a side of onion rings (by far the best I’ve tasted, batter was really tasty, crispy with a hint of salt perfect! all in all a lovely meal. Staff again was really friendly and helpful. I honestly couldn’t fault a thing our whole stay was just perfect and I will definitely be booking again and recommending to my family and friends. Thanks to everyone at the White Lion for making our stay in Hebden Bridge a memorable one!"

We stayed in a lovely room. Very clean and toiletries provided etc. We had dinner in the hotel which was first class. Would stay again.

We had a great time dining at this restaurant, enjoying both breakfast and dinner. We were delighted to spot a heron in the river just outside our room. I highly recommend trying the cheese pie and the meat pie.

Located in the heart of Hebden Bridge, this charming pub is a welcoming spot to enjoy a delicious meal. We were impressed with the exceptional haddock and chips, as well as the tasty cheese pie, although it had a bit too much pastry for our liking. The beer Three Swords was fantastic, but the wine selection was good, albeit on the pricier side. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience, and the bar staff were excellent.

Fabulous little pub. Location was excellent you could walk straight into the town with the added bonus of a small car park to the rear. We stayed in room 5 which was in the old part of the pub sloping floors etc which gave it character. The staff were excellent especially Lydia who even carried our bags to our room. Fabulous breakfast too. We had 2 evening meals in the pub which were equally good. Would definitely recommend a visit,

We stayed at the White Lion for two nights. I am sure that some of the rooms are very nice, however the bedroom we were in (room 5) was not good. In the bedroom the curtain rail was off the wall at one end and the curtains were not all attached to the rail. The paper on the ceiling was coming off in places. Unfortunately during our stay cleaning of the room was completely overlooked, bed not made etc. It was a very disappointing stay. On the upside the ensuite bathroom was very nice, clean and modern. The poached eggs were delicious apart from that .

I was very surprised by my experience at this restaurant. I was denied a large pour of white wine, as they did not offer large measures but insisted I buy a full bottle instead. The Sunday lunch was unappealing to me after overhearing the couple next to us complain about soggy roast potatoes. When I requested to switch chunky chips for skinny fries, I was informed there would be an extra charge of £1 per person as the skinny fries were more expensive. While I understand that it is a tourist area, I felt that this was a blatant attempt to overcharge customers. When my meal arrived, the pie was clearly reheated and dry, leaving me extremely disappointed. I had dined at this restaurant before,...

We spent 4 nights here and our room was comfortable and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and on the one evening we are here food was also good. Parking is a problem. There is no reserved parking for residents although when I requested a reservation due to my husband’s limited mobility one was provided unfortunately it was taken by someone else! However two members of staff were hugely helpful; one moved her car to provide a space and the other brought out one of the chefs to manouvre ours into the awkward space. One important point on our second day the room was not cleaned. When I queried this the lady I spoke to apologized but said the rooms were not usually...
