"It's disheartening to see this pub decline. It used to be a charming historical spot with a vibrant atmosphere, but now it feels rather sad overall. The Sunday lunch is disappointing, featuring low-quality frozen food that takes nearly an hour to arrive. The live music feels more like a gimmick, catching both the staff and customers off guard. Service has become sluggish and indifferent, with little care for the customers or the drinks being offered. Overall, it’s just a bit dismal. Honestly, it’s somewhat heartbreaking to witness this change."

for the first time before a few weeks in the opposite moves while covid restrictions and very impressed. friendly staff, low beams and hot coalfires, plus a choice of the Cask ales. also the menu choice was extensive and very favorable and the meals were excellent.

You don't come across many pubs like this anymore. The food is hearty and genuine, with a great selection of drinks and attentive service. When we visited, they offered an impressive variety of pies, perfect for fellow pie enthusiasts. The bartender was fantastic and really added to the experience. Price per person: £10–20. Food rating: 5/5.

"I recently had the opportunity to stay at Manor House and wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. While the hotel had its positives, there were a few aspects that left me disappointed. Starting with the room, it was clean and well-maintained. The average-sized room provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. However, considering the price I paid for the room, I expected a bit more in terms of luxury and modernity. It lacked that extra touch that would have made it truly exceptional. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the exorbitant prices of the alcohol at the hotel's bar. Unfortunately, indulging in a drink or two became a costly affair. The high prices made it difficult to enjoy a casual evening without feeling like I was being taken advantage of. This was a major downside for me, as I believe that reasonable pricing is crucial for a well-rounded hotel experience. On a positive note, the breakfast at Manor House was a delightful experience. The lovely spread of options available was impressive, and the quality of the food was excellent. It was evident that the hotel took pride in offering a satisfying breakfast experience to its guests. However, my experience with one particular waitress with blonde hair left much to be desired. Upon arriving for breakfast at a later time, her attitude towards me was horrendous. Her demeanor was unprofessional and unwelcoming, which significantly impacted my overall impression of the hotel's service. It is important for all staff members to treat guests with respect and courtesy, regardless of the time they arrive for breakfast. In conclusion, my stay at Manor House had its ups and downs. While the room was clean and the breakfast was lovely, the expensive alcohol prices and the horrendous attitude of one particular waitress were disappointing. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and breakfast, but caution potential guests to be prepared for the possibility of encountering less-than-friendly staff members."
