Service has become sluggish and indifferent, with little care for the customers or the drinks being offered. Overall, it’s just a bit dismal. Honestly, it’s somewhat heartbreaking to witness this change."

beautiful and very friendly pub in a beautiful village. we considered to be part of a long trip on the m6 and they would never know that they were close to the autobahn, as it feels so idyllic. delicious food and nice staff.

absolutely great customer service and great commitment of the staff to ensure that our food is well cooked and enjoyable. also drinks on our table and a brilliant arrangement for those who want to enjoy a drink in the beer garden. will be back soon!

for the first time before a few weeks in the opposite moves while covid restrictions and very impressed. friendly staff, low beams and hot coalfires, plus a choice of the Cask ales. also the menu choice was extensive and very favorable and the meals were excellent. View menu

You don't come across many pubs like this anymore. The food is hearty and genuine, with a great selection of drinks and attentive service. When we visited, they offered an impressive variety of pies, perfect for fellow pie enthusiasts. The bartender was fantastic and really added to the experience. Price per person: £10–20. Food rating: 5/5.

BEST PUB ROAST AWARD WINNER (from me) I 'm always on the search for a decent roast, but I have ridiculously high standards and unfortunately most pub roasts fit into the 'meh ' category for me. I had the mixed turkey and beef today and it was AMAZING. The best roast I 've had that u didn 't make myself. That 's saying a lot. Gravy was thick and tasty, meat was perfect and decent portions. The Yorkshire felt a little like an afterthought but I can forgive that because the roast was so good. Can 't recommend this highly enough.
