"The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The man who took care of us was very friendly, talkative, and just overall pleasant. There was a small mistake with our bill being double charged, but it was quickly resolved without any problems. The food was delicious, as always, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The White Peacock is my favorite restaurant in Leicester City Centre, and I hope it can withstand another lockdown."

Haven in a haven, Amble along Leicester's most picturesque and peaceful road (or pedestrianised promenade) and you'll hap across the White Peacock.

Good service with attentive staffs. Food was well proportion, cocktail was very imaginative, one of the staffs made a very special drink for my daughter. Scallops were very fresh. We had a wonderful night.

Great food and ambience. Staff very welcoming and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Food was excellent with good choices available. Lovely atmosphere with real fires and appropriate classical music playing.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The restaurant could have been a bit warmer, and the onion bhaji was slightly burnt. However, the main courses and desserts were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. View menu

Service was very friendly if a little slow. Food was excellent we started with scallops which just melted in the mouth. Main course was duo of Leicestershire beer extremely tender and tasty compliments to the chef and butcher. We finished with chocolate fondant with autumn fruit sorbet an excellent way to round of a lovely meal

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
