"Steaks were ordered medium rare. They arrived well done. Food arrived with no cutlery, we waited about 5 more minutes for that after asking twice. We then waited a further 7 minutes, after 3 requests, for onion rings to arrive. The peppercorn sauce was also very thin and runny as if watered down too much. We were then charged £13.50 for a drink item that was not ours. This then took several minutes to rectify at the only till operating. So, whilst we enjoyed the atmosphere and eating outside it was not a good dining experience at all. We chose not to make any comments at the table as the waitress seemed about 14/15 years old and very shy. It will certainly make us consider, more carefully, whether or not to dine again at the w&s although we do enjoy regular drinks there."

Ambience very good to allow conversations to proceed. Service very nice with personal touch. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would certainly pay a return visit. all in all a little gem.

A lovely venue with plenty of space between tables. Several choices on the Sunday menu; My friend had beef, I had a root vegetable and nut loaf. Both came with six vegetables and huge yorkies. They were all delicious. We couldn't manage a desert!

Our family of 5 visited for a birthday meal on pie night. They went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs and the food was lovely. The atmosphere was relaxing and we thought the barman was especially lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch at The Witch Sow (apparently named this as ,long ago, a ‘witch’ rode on a pig! The young staff were friendly attentive, cosy atmosphere in the dining area, food portions very generous. Really nice, cosy, unpretentious pub. Well done!

Absolutely fantastic meal very good quality, plenty of it and really well presented. Great service too. Our only (small! complaint is that the menu shown on their website doesn't match the one that's given to you when you're there, which can sometimes lead to disappointment if you've got your heart set on one of your favourite dishes!
