Great breakfast! Good quality locally sourced ingredients. Will be making a return next time we want to eat breakfast out.

The Sunday lunch at this cafe restaurant is a great value. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly as well. I highly recommend this place.

Food is excellent, plenty on the plate, lunch and breakfast menus are good and varied. Dessert options are superb. Take out option is a brilliant one to choose especially when you can't eat all you order.!

Interesting coffee shop, part of the woodlands public house, good menu, friendly staff, great food, converted function room, looks like they did 95% of the work, then rushed the last bit, carpark could do with a little TLC, But overall a nice lunchtime place

We were staying in a holiday cottage just up the road and ordered a take-away roast dinner. Great vaue for £8.95 with a choice of meats (even allowed me to mix turkey gammon). Great choice of veg and also came with cauliflower cheese and dauphinoise potatoes! Even better still the sun was shining so we managed to eat it all in our cottage garden in the sunshine! The Sunday lunch at this restaurant was enjoyable with friendly staff, but the food was disappointing. The meat was served lukewarm, the stuffing appeared to be deep-fried, and the roast potatoes were overcooked. Additionally, the vegetarian sausages were bland according to one diner. Overall, the food quality needs improvement in order to match the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

We were heading towards Symonds Yat and passed the Woodland so decided to stop for lunch. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and as we had a dog with us we decided to sit outside. The dog was brought a bowl of water by a friendly member of staff. The member of staff that took our order could not have been friendlier. We ordered 2 steak bagettes which came with chips, salad and home made cold slaw, the children ordered vegetable lasagne and fish fingers, these also came with chips, salad etc, The meals were delicious and generous portions. I'm sad to have to give this review, because this has always been an establishment that serves a reasonable mid priced carvery in a pleasant environment. We have even recommended it to customers looking for a meal. I'm not sure we would do that now unless our Sunday lunch genuinely was a blip and they up their game considerably. We booked a table for 1 p.m. arrived and placed our order, we had a small and hungry child with us so timing was important.
