You can't go wrong at this place! The prices are reasonable, and the kids love it. There's a nice park outside, and they offer soft play inside. The pub area is also very inviting for adults. Overall, I would give the service and location a perfect score of 5!

The guy at the bar booked me in no problem and escorted me to my room, which was clean and cosy. The bar restaurant was beautiful, so if you wanted a night away with a loved one, this would be the place. The food was amazing, I had the sirloin stake, which was cooked just how I like it. The food is locally sourced, and you can tell. I would return. Rooms: 5

We dined here for a family birthday celebration with a large group, and everyone ordered a variety of dishes from the menu. Each person was very pleased with their meal. The staff was friendly, and the owner was wonderful. This charming, cozy pub is a place we will definitely return to! The soft play area for kids is an added perk, as it is tucked away from the dining area. Highly recommended! Rooms: 5

Room was not as promised as a family room. The bed was very uncomfortable old creaking springs on mattress a restless nights sleep. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. Dust and cobwebs behind tv not cleaned for years filthy. Raised concerns to Manager at checkout (Jacob) displayed a very flippant attitude and told me to take it up with Booking. Com. Will NOT be going there again Manager no Customer Sevice skills poor attitude. Rooms: Not as promised

Although we often arrived after dinner service, the staff was always very accommodating, either preparing something for us or taking our order over the phone during our drive from Barry. The inn's location is perfect; it's conveniently close to Barry while also being nestled in the beautiful countryside. The staff members were consistently excellent, particularly one young gentleman whose name I regret not remembering; he truly went above and beyond in providing outstanding customer service. The pub itself is a delightful space, both indoors and in the garden, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and inviting.

Was out travelling in the lovely bout of summer weather we were having and decided it would be nice to have a ice glass of wine but we had our 5 year old daughter who is hard to entertain after a little Google search by chance I stumbled on this country pub not knowing what to expect just read child friendly so headed straight here! WOW best family pub in South Wales there wasn't just one play area my daughter had the choice of 3 outdoor play areas to enjoy and an indoor soft play! She was loving her little life the food was lovely I highly recommend the ploughman's platter it went well with a wine The staff were exceptional and very attentive and helpful Will be back again Thankyou
