Super 2 night break at this lovely location. Great spacious room and very spacious bathroom. Lovely hot shower. Great food both for dinner and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff and even got a sausage for the dog. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Stayed in Rock room which was very tired needs updating lock in door very stiff and problems entering the room lock needs changing Location very good and hotel grounds very good. Amazing rooms that are spotlessly clean, with a spacious bathroom. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are very comfortable, featuring a large bathtub and shower. When I tried to run a bath as soon as I got there, the hot water ran out halfway through. Fortunately, my second attempt later on was successful. While dogs are not allowed in the restaurant for dinner, the staff recommended the Borough Arms, which is dog-friendly and serves delicious food. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant for breakfast, but both pets and their owners are confined to the interior and cannot access the conservatory.

The room was disappointing. The TV was very small, and in the bathroom, there was a tiny towel rail that was missing from the wall, leaving two large holes. The noise from the room below was excessive, making it feel like they were right in our room. It wasn't the fault of the other guests, but it still affected our stay. We didn't even stay for breakfast. Overall, I feel that the value was significantly lower than what we paid—definitely not a good experience. The internet connection was virtually nonexistent, likely due to being too far from the main router. I would rate the rooms a 2 out of 10.

The room was very small, and there was a limited window for food and drink service in the restaurant and bar. Communication was quite poor; one room had a couple staying the first night and a different party the second night. Although this was communicated, when the second group arrived, they were informed that the room key had already been given to the previous guests. As a result, the party coming to collect the key was directed to the room to retrieve it from the occupants; however, the occupants had made a separate booking and had not been checked in properly. I wouldn't consider staying here again if I'm in the area.
