"While the appearance of this restaurant may not be the best during the day, the food and service are top-notch. The staff were friendly and the food was served quickly. We used a Groupon voucher as our reason for coming, but we would definitely return regardless. The drinks were cheap, making it an ideal spot for a meal before a match. The Parmo dish was particularly delicious, despite being made with pork, and the homemade chips were just the right size."

Came in here as part of our works pub crawl and it was absolutely spot on. I've been coming in for years and it's always top lager and nice surroundings. Can't knock it.

We called in for a quick lunchtime drink and decided to have a sandwich. We ordered a hot beef baguette which was huge and gorgeous. The beef fell apart in the toasted baguette and the gravy was delicious. Lovely staff we will be back again for food.

advertised improved menu. Not a great choice. Nothing available. Went to a local shop to buy what we wanted. It was not worth it. Not even got coffee machine working at lunch time. Maybe ok when all other pubs busy, defy not worth a visit for food or coffee

We tried the Parmo and drink special and were very impressed. The portion size was just right for lunch. My partner doesn't eat cheese, so the chef kindly made a plain escalope which was delicious. The chips were lovely and the salad was fresh. We definitely plan to return. Thank you xx.

I went to this restaurant today with my sister and two kids. The staff was amazing, very friendly. They even put the baked beans in a separate container so they wouldn't touch the rest of my sister's food! We had two parmos (using a Groupon deal) and two drinks, and the food was excellent.

The pub was quiet when we arrived and the staff were amazing, we had a good chat with them while we decided what to eat. Hubby went for the parmo hot dog and I decided on the chicken panni. Each were served with the most amazing home cooked chips and the portions were big. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back

I purchased a groupon for 2 parmos and 2 drinks. The lady who served us was really welcoming and took our orders straight away. We ordered the chicken parmos. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our parmos and unbelievably my daughter didn't leave a thing on her plate. Absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend without hesitation.

This place is one of the most uncomfortable feeling places in Middlesbrough! You feel like you are being constantly stared at! Bar staff are miserable, like they dont even want to be there. Not a nice atmosphere, and could definitely do with an overhaul! Tired, run down venue! I would advise to continue walking past, plenty of better, classier venues further down

This was our first time in the T S One, my partner had suggested we try the Groupon deal. Two Parmo's chips salad colslew pint coke each all for £9. This has got to be far the best deal that Groupon has to offer. The service was fab, the manager came out had chat with us, the parmo chips colslew and salad was by far the best we have ever had in Middlesbrough. I would recommend this deal to anyone and will be certainly going again.

"We started with the Alkaline Nachos (£10.95), which featured nachos topped with marinated baked quinoa, fried beans, cashew cream, guacamole, pineapple salsa, and pickled red cabbage. The dish was drizzled with smoked cashew cheese. They were delightful, sweeter than any nachos I had before, and had a nice tangy twist. Next, we tried the BBQ Tacos (£9.50), which included shredded carrot in an alkaline BBQ sauce served in a crispy corn shell filled with fried beans and guacamole, along with pineapple salsa and pickled red cabbage, accompanied by a side salad. These were hands down the best BBQ tacos I've had in the north. The Thai Buddy Bowl (£10.95) was another standout dish. It featured orange teriyaki chickpea tofu, surrounded by pineapple "fried" quinoa, purple coleslaw, a Thai side salad with almond and ginger dressing, and quinoa falafels with mango chutney. The blend of flavors was incredible, and this was my favorite dish—something I could happily eat several times a week. I plan to return just for this dish! We also tried the Thai Wrap (£9.95), which contained quinoa and drippy butter falafels wrapped in a soft tortilla with mango chutney, coleslaw, and kimchi—served with a Thai side salad, almond and ginger dressing, and pineapple quinoa. The combination of ingredients in this falafel wrap was unexpected but fantastic. Once again, it was sweeter than I had anticipated. For dessert, we enjoyed the Pink Pitaya Acai Bowl (£5.50), a fruity and smooth blend with celestial blueberries, bananas, kiwi, and coconut—perfect for breakfast! It was a real power breakfast. We paired our meal with Immunity Boost Juice (£4.00 each) made from strawberry, pear, apple, and lemon juice—it was refreshing and invigorating. The Tropical Sunrise Smoothie (£4.50) blended papaya, mango, orange, banana, coconut, maple, and cashew, maintaining the unique flavors of each fruit beautifully. Lastly, we had the Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie (£4.50), featuring strawberries, banana, peanut butter, maple syrup, and lemon balm. It might sound odd, but it worked perfectly— the earthy peanut butter provided a lovely texture and taste that complemented the sweetness of the fruit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that was well worth the wait."
