"I had previously visited here before and was very satisfied with my order last time, so when me and my friend were looking for somewhere to eat here was perfect. Made a last minute booking and staff were perfect, incredibly friendly, took our order perfectly. Each item on the menu we got meat wise such as the sucuk, chicken, lamb chop and Adana kebab tasted individually different seasoning wise yet used very clear tradition Turkish spices which I love. The lamb chop especially unlike some restaurants, was not too fatty and had a lot of meat on the bone. Chicken and sucuk like all the meat had a good kick to it and tasted spicy, warm and notes of that sweet and charcoal taste I love. Sauces like everything else was served hot and fresh! Not to mention the complementary bread, which I was able to take leftovers home. Even the salads tasted very nicely dressed and fresh, the rice particularly has a lovely flavour and bit clumpy like some places who serve old rice. Cheesy garlic bread and red salt chips tasted pretty much as described and very delicious, maybe a bit more garlic and herb flavour on the bread however would be better. Mainly due to the generous amount of cheese which covers a lot of flavour. The falafels although small were incredibly delicious and a first for me in trying surprisingly. My only main issue however was that the Adana kebab which I requested extra of (and did not get extra) was smaller in size than I previously had received when ordering this meal and meat wise tasted maybe a tad over cooked. Maybe for the meals such as the mixed grill it would be helpful if the menu would tell you more about any additions or substitutions. Noteworthy mentioning I grabbed a fudge cake dessert to take away which tasted excellent and still moist even the next day. I’d recommend this place for anyone who enjoys Turkish or Mediterranean cuisine in general. The warm welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, combined with id say authentic tasting food makes it worth a visit anytime. I've always enjoyed the food here, but recently I was charged £10 more than what was listed on the website for a collection order. It ended up being £1 more than Just Eat's pricing after their fees as well, and since I picked it up myself, I was disappointed. I was informed that their hosting had been hacked, so they can't update their prices, but it's confusing to see charges that are higher than Just Eat's. To be honest, I feel a bit let down, which is really unfortunate. Food: 5 / Service: 3 / Atmosphere: 3.

1st time eating here, got mixed meats. The meat was very nice, juicy and not over cooked other that the long minced meat kebab thing (sorry not sure what it's called) this was burned on the underside so left a real burned taste in my mouth, couldn't eat it. Rice wasn't to my taste either, quite starchy and slightly hard. The salad was lovely and I really ordered thos for the meat and salad so I was happy overall. Staff polite and efficient. I would recommend here due to the delicious meat. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

"Title says it all really. I've been here 3 times for lunch which was nice and after encouraging my meat eating husband to give it a try I was gutted it turned out like this. We do a 5k walk on a Saturday morning and stopped here half way. We waited as, the sign said, to be sat down...in the end I shouted over to one of the girls if it was ok to sit anywhere. We sat down and after about a 10 minute wait ordered coffees. The waitress, without being unkind, was a bit surly but hey ho, most of the tables (but still only 4 tables) were in use so just thought they were a bit busier than usual. Coffee came, ordered poached eggs on toast and a small veggie brekkie (which is £7.80 by the way so not cheap). We then waited...and waited. Others too were sat there wondering where their orders were, you could see people looking over to the counter. No one came over and apologised for the wait or asked us if we wanted anything else to drink. It got to the point when we were going to walk out...literally an hour later...when our breakfast turned up. Husband 2 poached eggs...1 piece of toast. Mine...(and I know it was a small one but remember, it was £7.80) 1 veggie sausage, 2 tiny discs of black pudding...no bigger and not as thick as a 2 quid coin, 1 teaspoon of mushroom, 1 tablespoon of beans, half a slice of toast and a poached egg. It was stone cold. I was going to complain but husband hates fuss so we ate and left. Only after we had paid were we asked if everything was ok. Husband, unusually for him spoke up and said mine was cold. We were offered a take away coffee. He declined. I am really disappointed as i wanted to make this place a regular stop on our walks. The coffee is lovely so that was one plus. Staff could have made this so much easier by apologising to people waiting and offering a refill on the coffees. Not at any time did anyone waiting get approached with an explanation or apology. The small breakfasts are a rip off if that is the regular fare that is served up. It might have been better if it had been hot too. These two orders should take 10-15 mins to serve up. Sorry to say that we won't be going back."

"It was a lovely summer evening, so we (the boss and I. Boss being the much better half) decided we’d see if we could find a restaurant. It was a Saturday night, so we didn’t think we’d have much chance. A slow drive along South...Road nothing took our fancy so we moved to St John’s Road. I only really come along here for The Battery Shop, but then we see a seemingly really empty little shop front restaurant called Sunshine. It looked lovely so why so empty? We checked the reviews in TripAdvisor and they were great. Right let’s book. We checked the menu all good made a phone call and literally mins later we are seated at our table. So basically this is a fab little family run Mediterranean restaurant. Haley and her partner have been here for years, keeping things afloat through covid with a home delivery service. To the food again fab!! Great sized portions for the price. Starters mains and a decent selection of wines. We had a lovely two courses with a glass of red and a couple of cokes for change out of Well worth a visit. I loved my Halloumi started and Salmon main. The boss adored the Lamb Kofta but her main (I think it was called the Sunrise Special) was a bit wanting. Anyway, don’t read into that, I’m just being honest. We’ll defo go again so thanks Haley and well done for keeping open when lots of other places have closed. Defo worth a visit so go support this fab little med restaurant with mega portions. Brucie bonus- the wine glasses are lovely. I was tempted to ask could I have a couple Book, go and enjoy!!!!"

"Hats off to the management and staff of Cantinetta for truly earning this one-star review from me. It was a team effort that I felt deserved recognition. We had guests from out of town and it was up to us to pick a restaurant that showcased the best of Crosby (according to Google reviews). We were a party of 10 who had reserved a table for Saturday evening with plenty of time to prepare and even pre-order if needed. Upon arrival, we were seated and given the drink menu. Unfortunately, the staff took 40 minutes before taking our drink orders, despite reminders. They seemed to make excuses rather than fulfill their duties. We should have probably left at that point, but we stayed. The food that was eventually served was inedible, particularly the Bruschettas which were popular choices for starters. There were delays in serving the main dishes as well, with some younger guests jokingly starting to eat the table. Thankfully, the main meals were of decent quality once served, but the service lacked any apologies or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. When we spoke to the manager about our experience, he seemed indifferent. This lack of care or apologies for a subpar experience on their part is the reason for this one-star review. Everyone has an off night, but the indifference to customer satisfaction shown by Cantinetta was truly remarkable.Service: Dine inMeal type: DinnerPrice per person: £30-40Food: 2Service: 1Atmosphere: 2"
