"for a larger business, the restaurant is not recommended if you order a la cart. we were 18 pers. at the beginning everything seemed to order until the restaurant was very full and thus also loud. and the tables are very tight. We have waited for over 2 hours. and also after repeated requests, especially that the children who had been here could get their food, we have already received the message from the waiter that he would change this, but it would not only be difficult to get the kitchen that would be for the guests to come. this message to customers is already a guess. after our guests were uncomfortable, the statement came from the waiter that they could handle the cook. instead of the cook picked up and the table we had to go to the boil. the feeling that this had brought us something, but that finally came to eat. after 2 hours stay in restaurant 12 apostel. after eating we were simply put into the cake and as a reconciliation they wanted to offer us cheesecake. we didn't accept that because we had our own cake. when the bill came, there was not even a rabatt, and then they were allowed back to the boil. the chef gave a discount and a good note. but the visit of this day was a gracious for our guests."

After we tried, I reserved it for my 50-year-old class meeting. we were about 20 people and had the winter garden for us. at our test and at the class session there were no complaints. the food was good, the value of money too. the service attentive.

You can't be more friendly than this staff. The restaurant is large, spacious and really beautiful. The portions are super delicious, lovingly dressed and very lush. Price performance is great. We felt really comfortable and went super saty and absolutely happy home. I recommend this restaurant! View menu

A really good food and service. The atmosphere and the furnishings are truly unique. The owner is very attentive and has a very good look at his team. Also very suitable for great celebration, as there are also several rooms (in the largest room up to 150 people, I believe). We are here at least once a month and have never been disappointed. Definitely the visit value.

when they were on the road with the wheel, they have no more desire to cook themselves. So I came into the restaurant twelve apostles between barsbüttel and that field. the weather was great so I looked up the terrace. the waiter had to make him quickly aware of the dirty table. he brought the drinks, but the table was still dirty. the menu had also kept better time, fat stains, along with tesafilm. should be replaced immediately. commanded that the twelve apostle writer must say that was not the hit. the meat was not fried, but unfortunately without salt and pepper. the bratkartoffels, should be better, no color and black tweepers. what did the cook think of when they were boring. I've neve...

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
