Twee Linden - Menu

You won't be dissapointed when visiting "Twee Linden" right by "Am Strom" in Warnemünde. Generous servings of good food and friendly staff makes this a place to return to. And when the weather allows you can sit outside by the canal "Am Strom".

Although we were on a cruise, we splashed out for a luncheon at this restaurant. I had the plaice (Scholle) - it was wonderful. It came whole - as it should, not filleted. My husband had the halibut which he said was also great. Good service, amazing food.

Only had one woman waiting tables and it was a warm fine sunday--so she was a little overwhelmed and rushed. Had the schnitzel with white asparagus, which had been cooked to mush. Schnitzel was good tasting though. Better place to have just stopped for a drink. View menu

Worst restaurant experience. Banal food for an expansive price. Most shocking fact, the personnal SMOKES in the restaurant, just next to the kitchen and clients. Bad client service and the personnal treats us like fools. I certainly don't recommand this establishment

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and Yelp and were pleased with their wide selection of preparations of fresh fish. The halibut was delicious. The portions were also very, very generous. We sat inside, since it was raining, and found it to be very cozy. We also found the pace of service to be leisurely though we appreciate that they were busy and the speed of service expected by Americans is not always what is standard in other countries.

My friend and I enjoyed lunch and a glass of wine in their outdoor seating. I'm vegetarian and could not find much in Warnemünde but Twee Linden offered a baked potato and green salad and it was lovely. The salad had a good variety of vegetables on it and the potato had a generous portion of tzatziki on it. My friend had fish with a mustard sour cream sauce served with rice and braised cabbage and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat for a while before we got served and we struggled with the German menu, in particular we wanted to find out what a zander fish was. We were handed the English menu and zander fish was translated as ...zander fish! It appeared to be a perch or similar. It was excellent, fried in a light batter with sauerkraut as an aside. I opted for the baked potato as I was not hungry. The potato was served with herb butter in foil, shaped like a chicken (?). My apple juice was tasty and the Rostocker (local) beer was apparently very nice.

We chose this restaurant because of the advertised fish on the boards outside and the attractive redbrick buiding. The inside is gemutlick and a charming girl served us. My husband and daughter each had the fish platter which they pronounced delicious. I had the halibut and it was beautifully cooked and served with potatoes and salad and a great sauce. We had beers to start with, a good bottle of Grauburgunger with our meal. We finished with superb apple strudel and vanilla sauce. The bill was a reasonable 88euros for three. A great find.

We visited this hotel while on a cruise. After ordering drinks, we asked to look at a menu in English. We order our food with a male waiter, who wrote this down on his pad. After a half hour wait, and still no food we...asked him how much longer we had to wait. We were told another mins. mins later and still no food we asked a female waitress where our food was, to be told we had not ordered any!! When we asked to speak to the waiter who took our order, she told us he had finished for the day. Low and behold, a few seconds later he appeared at the door or the restaurant.
