A wonderful experience. Reservation required as there are not that many places. Nice, friendly reception, you feel welcome. The food is very good, beautifully presented and tasty. Not everything in the service is perfect, but that's what makes this restaurant so charming. Accessibility by public transport is also good.

We were in the International District and decided to try this restaurant. My husband read about this culinary school restaurant the day before and since we were in the area, we decided to try it during lunch. They were very busy and glad that they had an open table for 2 since we didn’t have a reservation. The host and our server spoke English and we received excellent customer service. We had one of the best Swiss meals and service during our 2 weeks vacation in Switzerland. We wanted to eat dinner the Sunday before Valentine’s Day but they are not open on weekends.

What a memorable gastronomic experience at the “VIeux Bois” restaurant at the École Hôtelière de Genève! The menu features an inventive selection, from “La poire enchantée” to “Croquant Ecuacao Chocolate”, accompanied by a selection of remarkable wines. The presentation of the dishes was artistic and careful and highlighted the culinary sophistication expected of such a renowned institution. Finding such quality at such a competitive price is truly exceptional. “Smoked féra with mandarin, caviar blinis” was a real delight! Thanks to Chef Altomonte and Faval for enjoying us so much!
