"My family and I went to this restaurant for breakfast, but two of the meals were missing items and the quality of the food was poor. The sausages were like sponges and the meat content was questionable, the poached eggs were hard boiled, and the bubble consisted of only mashed peas. There was no apology for the missing items and one breakfast was missing eggs, fried slice, and bubble - all of which were brought over on separate plates at different times. The plates were collected with uneaten food still on them, and no one asked if the meals were okay or why so much food was left. Despite the low quality of the food, the prices did not reflect this - they even charged us for a cup of hot water. When we went to pay, we mentioned that we were not impressed with the food, but were told, "if you don't like it, don't come back" - which we won't. It seems that they were not concerned about losing our business as the restaurant was packed, although I cannot understand why people would enjoy eating there."

Parking to front is limited but coop always has spaces. The cafe is very clean and the staff are amazing with the customer. Food is tasty and cooked to perfection and a very large menu. View menu

Used to go to this cafe regularly with my parents growing up, visited recent with my parents for first time in few years and totally dissatisfied, burnt sausages, tight portions, rubbish service.

We've just treated ourselves to a take away lunch from this cafe. Very easy to order by phone, very helpful gentleman assisted with the menu. Food arrived quickly, and was well packaged, it was lovely! Brilliant service and reasonably priced, will deffo be using again

I recently tried the fish and chips at The Village Cafe and was impressed. The fish was fresh, flaky, and cooked perfectly with a great batter. Although the chips were not made from fresh potatoes and were instead chunky frozen chips, they were still tasty. I would definitely recommend trying this new dish. The cost is £8 for a medium portion and £9.40 for a large. View menu

I recently visited this café for the first time and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and the presentation of the breakfast. The items were haphazardly piled on top of each other, making it difficult to locate certain components like the eggs buried at the bottom. The sausages were of the poorest quality I have ever experienced at a café. The serving of beans was insufficient, clumped together, and of low quality. It was evident that the eggs had been left out for a while. I would advise those seeking a satisfying fried breakfast to explore other cafes in the area as there are many better options available.

Not sure why the last few reviews were so anti. Popped in with my partner Sunday morning at 9:45. Busy but still some tables to be had. Service with drinks was pretty much instantaneous and with a smile, sone chat, and warm welcome. We both ordered a different large fry up breakfast, and both were superb, and very reasonably priced. Sausages were large and tasty, eggs well done, everything was hot and delicious. Toast was thick uncut bread with lots of butter. I had an OJ, large, which came as a pint, and was proper juice, not squash. Tea was piping hot and well made. Decor was classic greasy spoon but tidy and clean. Lots of happy faces in there enjoying good food and a natter, and the radi...

"Found out that under new ownership since October 2023, so recommendations to me were based on friends experience with previous owners. The manager was friendly and very attentive, asking lots of questions, explaining their menu when asked, telling me that the interior will be changed in the near future. Anyway, for starters we chose Calamari, Garlic Mushrooms with Cheese, King Prawns, and Halluomi. We then all helped ourselves to bits and pieces of each. The starters were plentiful in portion size, with all choices being great, especially the garlic mushrooms with cheese. For mains we chose a mixed grill, chicken shish, lamb ribs, and chicken wings and chips for my daughter. The chicken and lamb shish were both tender and full of flavour, and the lamb ribs were great. They all came with slad and bulgur (I can only describe it as a cross between rice and cous-cous).The mixed grill was plentiful in size and looked appetising, but my father in law enjoyed that all to himself , so I can only assume it was good. My daughter enjoyed her chicken wings too We were given bread on the table, which was warm and full of flavour too. We were definitely made to feel welcome, and will definitely return. Good to know that they deliver too. We were at the restaurant early (5pm booking), so were the only people in the restaurant, however, there was a constant stream of delivery drivers collecting orders for delivery. It was my daughters birthday the following day, so tye manager gave her a small dessert on the house as well. Parking: A few parking spaces on the street just a couple of doors down from the restaurant , where you use the RingGo App or good old cash to pay for parking."
