Had a wonderful lunch, eating the local croxetti with delicious sauce washed down with refreshing crisp local vermentino wine, everything was superb and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant. View menu

Mi dispiace, per noi è stata un'esperienza piacevole, una persona in cucina, e una ai tavoli, con il menu. Uno di loro bianco ragù pansoti che non sapevano nulla, secondo me ho chiesto patate, mi hanno portato UNA e anche piccola, carne devo dire buona e cucinata bene, ma torneremo

Locale accogliente e pulito, staff cortese e gentile.. cameriera molto gentile e con un bellissimo sorriso. Abbiamo mangiato ravioli con ragù bianco, una tagliata e una battuta. Tutto super! Great wine bar with a few small tables outside on the pavement. Great for observing Italian activity in this typical Italian small town. Enjoyed great local wine, recommended by the owner of the wine bar. He was very modest about his English language skills, but was very able to recommend the wines on offer. Got lovely bites to eat for free with every glas of wine. Bit of prosciuito, focaccia, local salami and olives. Our every day stop after having done our shopping :

Varese Ligure is a small town just a short drive from Levanto, but it is like stepping into another world. We arrived on a Saturday about 1 pm and the streets were empty. Fortunately, Vinera del Borgo was open. The inside eating area is tiny, but cozy. We stood out as obviously American tourists, but the owner and the other guests welcomed us just like we were old friends stopping by for a Saturday lunch. We got the Croxetti, a disk shaped pasta, served with a cream sauce and walnuts. It was fantastic and very authentic rural Italian cooking. After lunch we strolled the empty streets.
