"We booked for my family of four after a visit to the Spa earlier in the day, and overall it was like something from Fawlty Towers. When we arrived the staff seemed confused we were there, and then gave us a soup and salad menu. When queried, they brought us a lunch menu, but when we asked whether we could order from the menu online we were told the starts at 5pm. This makes sense in hindsight, as they will want a cheaper, easy menu for the golfers, but it should state this on the website, which seems to be an issue everyone had. We had booked for a special occasion and it felt much more pub lunch than nice occasion. Combined with the strangest service I 've ever experienced, from drinks service to having to find someone to ask for the bill, it certainly didn 't justify its self given 'fine dining ' label, or the price. Maybe just an expectation issue on our part, but it seems plenty of people have had this issue with this place. Wasted potential as well as the views are lovely."

We visited the Resturant tonight and had a great meal. We were greeted by David who showed us to a table with an amazing view. The Cullen Skink soup was a great start to the meal followed by a lovely venison dish. The service from Masha and Georgia was very attentive and friendly. The drinks from David and Nathan were amazing including fresh cocktails. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the visit! Service: Dine in

We’ve been traveling in Scotland and Ireland for two weeks now and Vista had the best fish and chips of anywhere we’ve been. If you want to eat here I recommend having an early dinner. We went at 6pm before it became very busy. They do seem a bit short staffed so if you go any later than 7:00 plan to be waiting to order and get your food. The staff though is absolutely lovely and I can’t say enough nice things about them. I do believe they are doing the best they can with a smile the entire time.

Disappointed in this restaurant last Saturday night. The food was great, but we needn't have dressed up as, rather than our expected fine dining experience, it was an experience of frantic service with waiting staff running with food to tables, and it resulted in us feeling our meal was the most rushed we've ever experienced. I understand the pressure of trying to feed the maximum number of diners before the ten pm shut off, but that was ridiculous. Felt more like a canteen than a classy restaurant. We won't be back.

After a lovely spa and massage we looked forward so much to lunch.(included in package To cut a long story short restaurant looked as if a function had just ended. We appeared to be a nuisance and of 5 different people who attended to us only one had any clue as to what was meant to be going on. We had a guy who sent us to a girl who walked us back to the guy and then walked us back down the room and eventually sat us down. She barked what we could have included in spa day...another girl took the order...more discussion on what cost extra...another guy came with order and when we pointed out something was missing...he again stated oh that's extra...we know that !
