"I had dinner at Viva twice and I was always satisfied. Food is well prepared and tasty and selection is large - cooked veggies and grains, soups, risotto, DIY salads, beverages, juices, cakes. All dishes are vegetarian and many of them are vegan. Prices are per weight, not per dish, and very cheap (less than 2 euro per 100 g), there's no service which may be even better than usual under some circumstances (no one pushing you to take this or that, you have plenty of time to choose, take your own tray and plates...). Staff is nice and the place is very clean, cosy and well-kept."

The food is ok but the pricing is ridiculous! They measure the amount you have on weighing scales and its not got a very pleasant atmosphere. It's a canteen and NOT a café or restaurant.

Great food, good salad bar and large selection of dishes. Friendly staff, lots of room and space for lunch. Nice terrace, quiet spot for break. Well located and central. A little bit pricey but plenty of different choices.

the system is weight buffet. Food is good, same salads as other hot dishes such as some tofu brochette with vegetables. Good juices and a variety of soft drinks and beer. Excellent value for money: around 10 euros per person.

My first time in Karlsruhe, first time at Viva. Food was very delicious- lot of vegetable dishes, fresh salads, fresh juices. The food is very light, healthy and well cooked. Prices are ok. Can recommend to all vegans and vegetarians, who will visit Karlsruhe

The place offers good food, diverse. The setting is quite good, in the heart of Karlsruhe... You pay according to the weight of your plates (salad or hot dishes). It can be a little too expensive if you eat a lot, but if it's just a simple meal, it's wonderful...

I had pasted this place many times before but never went inside. What a surprise! A lots of chooses whether you want salat or big lunch or even a dessert. We enjoyed our lunch and had the change to stay longer for coffee. You can come in a group or alone who don't have to feel strange. We will be definitely back another time.

I really liked this vegetarian restaurant. Brilliant location, huge selection of hot and cold foods. You stock up your plate, then pay by weight. Our whole family of 5 ate dinner for 27€ including drinks, and the plates were not short on food! The one drawback was the atmosphere; it was extremely quiet when we went on a weeknight, which was surprising. Everything else was great.

Although I am English and the staff only speak German, it was easy enough to figure out that you serve yourself and take your plate to be weighed before paying. There is so much choice and everything is clearly labelled. I visited twice as I enjoyed it so much the first time and each time I piled my plate high but paid less than 7 euros for food. Definitely worth visiting if wanting an affordable and very healthy lunch or dinner.

"we were initially april with our Greek course eating there. the weather was great, you could sit outside, but we had reserved in it because it was cool for this season in the evening. 8 people were put together in the corner at a table, although the neighbour was not occupied and no guests were sitting in this corner. we ordered several appetizers, including 2 plates for 2 people each. when we asked what was exactly on the plates on it, the energized answer came "of everything" which unfortunately was not true. it was a lot (but not everything) on it and it also tasted great part well.We ordered some other things so that everyone could taste everything. the tzatziki was either without garlic or with very little garlic. for a greek shameful bad. the zucchinibällchen were something sweetly fritted, which did not even taste like zucchini. the rest of the food tasted good. Now to the service: after our ordered food was brought to us, we were done/unregistered for the service. the waiter who served us at the beginning, we got no more too face for the rest of the evening. he rather sat in the introductory area with ancestral kinship to tell.Nobody asked if we needed anything else, no one asked if we wanted to drink something. When we wanted to get some bread, we had to shout 3x loud so that someone came. one of us ordered another 1/4 l of wine because he had to drive. 1/2 l wein was brought by a young waiter who did not understand a word German. Finally, a second waiter came in, who understood our complaint and brought the desired also quite fast. Conclusion: eating was the greatest part good, typical classic unfortunately bad, the operation a catastrophe. there are some creeps in carlsruhe that can know their menu and give away and are significantly better especially in matters service. I've never seen this grieche again."
